why did they give tamim MOM and not shakib? west indies commentators clearly loves Tamim out of everybody else it seems. Though tamim did well, i think shakib should have won.

^^ that one over somewhere gave Tamim the edge in their views.

But shakib started the partnership with a SR higher than tamim. And he was just brilliant with the ball.

What Shakib has to do to get the MoM award ?
He won the match for BD at 17th over with the ball

Shakib never wins MoM unless he's the best with bat or ball

Combined he never wins it

Fact is he didn't take most wickets and didn't score most runs and for ridiculous reasons that means he never wins it

3/50 is fine defending 150+ if he can take the big guns early

Saying that he's still not 100% back in rhythm, bowls too many loose deliveries and has an obsession with wide pitched up delivery, and doesn't back himself with the yorker like he used to

Edit: I should add I didn't watch the game, so this opinion is made up of previous viewings

Congratulations to the boys.
Big win this.
But onve again it was the seniors, Liton and Soumya flopped again, no surprise just disappointment.

Apu and Hider seem to be good in this format.
Should give them a long run.

Great win! Congrats BD!
All credits go to Shakib and Tamim! Great batting from two of our best!
In all the matches that BD won against 'notable' opponents, in most of them 'Shakib al Hasan' had significant contributions!

Tamim and Sakib set the tone and made it possible to cross 170, but not the other seniors (mushfiq, riyad). Rubel was still unpredictable and expensive, and so was Mustafiz ( even he is not senior, but has enough experience). If a new bowler would be giving 4 wide in one over in t20 game, he would be tagged as no good for life.

Yes amoung young players, SS and Litton again failed, but Apu and Hider contributed big way. I would give Arif a incomplete in this game....he is new but not young

So the spectrum of success and failure falls into both end i.e. seniors and juniors in this particular game.

Brilliant..

First T20 win in a long time.

And there was more support in this match in this venue from Bangladeshi supporters, than whole other loi and test combined in the carribean

Had Tamim got out early don’t think we would have got anywhere the target we posted. his presence in the middle somehow give everyone confidence

no denying that but for this game i don't think he deserves mom over shakib. if we use that logic we can also say if shakib didn't score all that run that fast and took wickets economically we would have lost.

I clearly don't agree with this choice.

For ODI series he was rightly chosen twice and series man.

We were in TV slightly - because a guy standing on 3rd row, both Tausif in 4th row and Myself in 5th row got shown half of our right sides while Ahsan and his daughter had a full showing.
