Pitches...
I am worried about the pitches for the test mathces. If we use the same BNS pitches (we only have one right? Or are there two or three side-by-side?) that were used for the ODIs, then were are in deep trouble. This time BNS did not produce the usual batting track and the batsmen struggled (our batsmen struggle anyway, but a better pitch might help). The tests could be a bigger than expected disaster.
here is my list of predictions:
1) Bowling - Our bowling will show flashes of brilliance , but fail to stem the tide of runs overall. I expect that one bowler (probabaly a pacer) will do really well in one of four innings. But this bowler will not be able to keep up the good work for other innings.
2) Batting - any predictions necessary? I am betting on 150+/- 35 runs per innings will be maintened with religious consistency.
3) Fielding - crucial catches will be dropped, but one or two 'spectacular' ones might be taken.
Hopefully i will be proved wrong...let's see what happens.
