I can't recall any team named Paksitan is qualified for World Cup Cricket 2007.

BTW, is there any relationship between Paksitan and Pakistan?

If you ask about Pakistan's chance, I don't see any chance especially after getting thrashed in South Africa.

ARSLAN, Welcome to BC forum. Have a nice stay.

Pakistan chances are dependent on it's band of talented, mercurial players pulling off a sustained run. On present form, they don't stand a prayer but if shoib & umar click and can give asif company then who know, they might yet give Inzi the sendoff he deserves.

Agree with HB. This Pakistan team is very much predictable.

Pakistan's core strength has always been their dynamic fast bowlers. This time the bowling wears a ragged look.Without Shoaib even more so.

Another problem seems to be the opening situation. And this is not a new situation.

Saying that, the Pakistan team has always been written off only to come back with a bang. They have enough good players to go the distance. For me a lot will depend on the experienced pros A.K.A Yusuf, Inzy and Shoaib. If I had to predict, I would say Pakistan will be ousted at the Super 8 stage.

pakistan can do anything in any given day..
they can get out for 71 and then win the WC. so just wait and see how they do it. I don't think inzamum has the authority on the team to be a winner like Imran Khan. Pakistan always had the talents they just need someone like IK to handle them with strong hand.

Shoaib is just worthless...no control over the ball. If Pakistan plays its good game, it could go up to semis...after that it's anybody's game. But if they play in their current form, they're exiting through the super8 exits.

If Pakistan can stay away from injury problem, I would consider them to be one of the top 4, along with AU, SA and SL. Specially since, moving to the second round is very easy for them, playing agains Zimbabwe and Ireland.

India would have made the cut, instead of the pakis, if they had changed their wimpy skipper Dravid. But no, looks like they have decided to be lead by a feeble minded weakling. Inzamam is a far better skipper than Rahul.

You can never predict about the pakistani cricket team. They are the most naturally talented and unpredictable side in world cricket.

Pakistan's chances in the world cup?
honestly, i dont know.

But my wishes ?
i hope they loose all the game and get booted out in the first round.
( though unlikely).

No hard feeling mate, its just my opinion.

Welcome to BC.

I got the feeling like this world cup will be the worst ever for the asian teams. The best hope for the asians will be srilankans and Murali might do something special in this world cup..

ICC should have put pakistan in group C instead of Bermuda. Then the answer would be Pakistan and India wouldn't qualify for super 8.

But in current sitation they will see the lights of super 8.

if shoaib is healthy, then they might make it too the semis. thats provided their fielding is crisp, their batsmen click, et al.

i don't pakistan are any weaker than india or sri lanka, tho india is more talented (but as bangladeshis we know best how meaningless that can be) and sri lanka is more hungry at the moment.

but you never know, pak are a very volatile team, beating RSA by 150 runs one day, and then losing by 10 wickets the next.

pakistan is probably the most interesting team out there. you never know what they will do in any given day, one day they score 400+ and another day below 150, consequently making them very suspenseful and entertaining. after bdesh i am going for pak then SA. let's see what happens!
