Two fifties and three scores in single digits (in BPL, so far) - Shams needs to show better consistency.

Simply not good enough for international cricket. Even Rokon, another player not good enough for the highest level, was way better than him.

Yah !!!! more competition for the national player, the better for us.
As more players are comming up, now there should no excuse to keep an under-performed player because we don't have alternatives (in T20 and ODI).... now we have plenty of them.

He looks to be a decent player to me. He plays with straight bat and seems to have good technique.

Comparing to kodal mara batting of Imrul/Zunaed, he looks technically sound, atleast so on flat pitches.

Didn't want to comment on him until I watched him and have to say, he's pretty impressive. Definitely more technically sound compared to Imrul and Junaid. He should definitely be in consideration for the national team. I could see him just missing out but he should keep working hard and definitely get chances in the A team.

Fantastic player against both pace and spin. Even played Nannes quite confidently today While KaEdge had no clue against Nannes.. He should be in the ODI squad for Srilanka tour .

His batting style resembles 'Nazza' but he bats way better than him. Has got power too. Once he hits, stays hit and clears boundary easily.
Undoubtedly great find in BPL 2 !!

Hopefully Tamim is aware of him and that his place may be under threat which btw is a good thing because Tamim will be serious and play his best after what happened in Asia Cup. In fact, I'd rather have Shamsur and Anamul open in limited overs than have Tamim anyday because they're not lazy and love the game.
But yeah, Shamsur looks like a perfect limited overs player sort of like Suresh Raina of India and deserve to part of our national plans only for T20 and ODIs. Shamsur has been a good fine for Bangladesh. Very clean hitter though.

So far he's been brilliant against spin. Played the pacers well too today. Form is a dangerous thing in T20s. He's had five 30+ scores so far and has converted all of them into 50s. Might get a 100 today.

shamshur misses a century, remains 98 not out from 50 balls ..... perhaps one more hit could have done it

Hard to imagine that Siddons preferred Imrul and Junaed over this guy!!
I understand our selectors making all kind of stupid selection but how could Jamie make such a mistake when he had the opportunity to witness his batting..

Nazimuddin has the worst batting style i have ever seen for an opening batsman. Shamsur's batting technique is much better than that mofiz.

Nazmul can only play one shot, hoick of his legs.... Plays spin by almost staying stationary at the crease.... you cant compare the two...

His timing was awsome
actually he proves me wrong,he is far better than Milon and Sabbir...they can hit sixes only to the long on area but Shamsur is equally strong in both leg and of side.....he looks very powerful too.....can also take easy singles.......he understand the ball, his short selection is perfect so far and never hit 'Faltu jhorebok' shorts like Kayes,Nafees,Jahurul.
I feel his 98(50) was much better than Nafees's century.
I would really happy to see him in our national ODI and T20 saide.
:-1.Tamim 2.Shamsur 3.Anamul (looks very strong T20/ODI top order)
he is also a good fielder
last year CTGK ignored Koba shamsu and this year they r ignoring Marshal Ayub.
***k off to Khaled Mahmud.

He made his runs against a decent attack, which is good to see. Nannes, Gazi, Nazmul, Nabi, Shuvo, Chigumbura - not a bad lineup at all.
