Rain forecasted - 1 point each later down the line may come in handy in comparison to having a game on Saturday?
I don’t think we should base it on the Pakistan game. 9 times out of 10 - England win that game.
I prefer the draw and take the point.

Thoughts?

BD record in Cardiff 2-0

Defeated the ATG Aus team in 2005

Defeated NZ in CT 2017 to reach the semi. was 41/4 one stage and chased 260+

We had 2 of our most memorable wins in Cardiff. We have defeated the colonies here..Now its time for the Mother Country

Being too sentimental IMO. Realistically, England can bat us out of the game.
Personally I’m hoping for rain and 1 point.
Another loss so quickly will be derailing.

England is the most difficult opponent in this World Cup. We have to be at the very top of our game to have any chance of winning the match.

The wicket is likewise to be a batting paradise due to superior batting strength of the host.

If you are batting first you have to go all out on attack. This might call for some change in the side if needed. Same with bowling. You got to be aggressive with your tactics and look for wickets all the time.

I hope Mashrafe adopts test style field placement when the spinners are bowling. Close catchers and fielders should be there to stop singles. England will go for the spinners if that is done. This may cost some runs but will create more chances.

How difficult to have one slip? Just akta. After all this in the 4t or 48th over Fizz was bowling, no slip, we had an easy wicket but not meant to be. No slip. It was before Saif's over. NZ would be in real trouble then with 18 runs required.

Thank you, Morgan's England does not look that strong with Ali and Adel.

Bat first, pile up 300+ and then choke them with our much improved bowlers compared to PAK. Match will be ours folkes .

No matter what, Mash must bowl his first 5 overs in the first pp. Slips are important. This is a key game for both sides since both suffered recent defeats. I, obviously will bring Rubel for this game. He will be fit and rearing to go, especially the opposition given, England.

350. That is what BD has to score if bat first.

Our bowling will get spanked to all corners of the ground. We need to get them all out to have a chance. If they bat 50 they will score way above 300

I dont know what should be good if we win the toss. If we bat first, need to score 320 plus otherwise we have no chance. I am not that confident with our bowling

If they bring in Liton and give him the gloves, that would send shock waves throughout the tournament about Bangladesh's intention to win it all!

But they won't, so yeah, the rest of the teams will get the message that these guys are here to win a max of 4 games.

I am not sure about sending shock waves. Lol.

But i agree that Liton is a game changer. Liton and Soumya has that ability to bisect fielders and score boundaries. Once Liton scores 10-20, he is off and gets into rhythm very well. Having Liton and Sabbir strengthens our batting. Its hard to leave out Mosaddek cause mamadhola cant bowl

^i see no reason why liton can't be drafted into the team. Did well in trip series and warm up. At worst case drop Mithun and put him in his place and let him keep. Mossadek seems to be needed not only for his batting, but bowling aswell so Mithun gets the cut. Has not done anything significant in trip series or WC so far

Bismillah. Let's see if our players have the mental strength to come back from such a frustrating loss and win against the tournament hot favorites.

And I want to see Liton or Sabbir in place of Mithun.
