I have said this before. There is too much camaraderie between the players. Not the same intensity you see when playing India for example.

Not expecting any wins, but should be an interesting series nevertheless. Hopefully Shak will emulate his previous success this time around too.

Are you Jamie Siddons
Did anyone expect the win over Australia? No. But Bangladesh did win, and the optimist in me says:

Pakistan's always a better team then us. That's why they beat us comfortably time and again. Plus, unlike other subcontinental teams, they always have a good strong pace attack. And our batsmen struggle against quality pace.

A very tough tour for us. Pakistan's better then West Indies and their a team moving up. Cheema, Gul and Junaid are really good pacers. And then Ajmal and Rehman are top class spinners. Batting is now becoming strong as well. Hafeez is really on song this year. Taufeeq, Umar Akmal, Shafiq, Misbah, Younis, and Azhar are all good batsmen. So it's a very good team we're playing. The positive is that we're not gonna be rusty and hopefully we give our best.

Yeah, imagine if Asif and Amir were in the squad as well. Frightening. I'm afraid we'll have to depend on our players peaking and their players having an off-day to win even one game.

Their batsmen are good players of spin and our spinners are, well, nothing special to be honest. Our pacers are street cricketers in comparison and let's not even start with our batsmen.

So basically, we only have a decent probability of winning against sides that are miserable against spin, because that way we can "outbowl" them.

Actually, thinking about it (and looking at their stats on Cricinfo), I think their batsmen play relatively less of a threat than their bowlers. Any of their bowlers could run through our battling line up but only Misbah, Younis and possibly S. Malik have the type of temperament, in ODIs at least, to guide them if they lose a couple of quick wickets. Hafeez has had an incredible year alright but he still averages 27 in ODIs.The Akmal brothers are still hit or miss.

No Rain to save us, Pakistani pacers troubling the Sri Lankan top order big time over in the Emirates, and we had trouble playing Marlon Samuels.

It's going to be a fun series, but who cares. I'd much rather play Pakistan, get trounced, and learn from it, than play Zimbabwe and win(oh wait....)

We almost beat them in a test match with Khaled Mahmud shujon as our top pace bowler in the team..
Their batsman hardly looks to score runs, always happy to occupy the crease, that works in our favor too...
Their bowlers are the main threat but very inexperienced... Junaid looks awesome, Ajmal and Gul are major threats.. the rest dont count for much....

Why they always start from Dhaka? Why don't they start from Chittagang.

These schedules are all same for any home series. First 2 ODIs in Mirpur, 3rd in Chittagang. 1st Test in Chittagang, 2nd in Mirpur. Last few years e ami er kono betikrom dekhini.

We have a history making their mediocre batsman as if they are next superstar in making. I hope that doen't happen this time.

Their bowling is their strength, make amy type of pitch you want, they have the bolwing firepower to make any good batting lineup ordinary.

You might see another tall Pakistani left arm pacer Sadaf Hussain for the first time in this tour.He is taking wickets for fun in FC.
