Default Dhaka Get Together Feb 21st, 2011

Hello All,
Zunaid bhai and me will sit for an adda on Feb 21st afternoon. You are welcome to join and make it a bigger gathering. The actual meeting venue has not been decided yet. You can suggest a place if you know (I am ignorant about Dhaka restaurants and cafes). Preferably any place that offers cha-shingara is good; as long as its decent and not overcrowded.

So make your suggestions, and lets decide quickly today. If you need my number please PM me.

Thanks,
Nasif

I prefer Dhanmondi but anywhere will do. The assumption is an afternoon meet and greet.

Star preferences in order:

1 - Road 2, Dhanmondi
2 - 27 nombor, Dhanmondi
3 - Banani

We should go for the one that maximizes participation.

I have heard good things about nandos. The place where we had gathering last time was good also. Can't remember the name, it was in dhanmondi. Ammar or Bashir bhai, do you guys remember?

I was originally thinking of an afternoon snacky place. Is Nando's good for that or is it better for lunch or dinner. The reason I wasn't thinking of lunch or dinner because we might have family commitments. I am ok anyway. Let us quickly confirm what and when.

Nandos is no good for a adda and a chat....

As for it not being crowded, the whole of Dhaka is going to be crowded with everyone out in the afternoon...a public holiday after all.

So all the cafes/roadside places/Dhanmondi Lake will be crowded.

Coffee World, almost opposite Nandos.

btw, is there a 'Barista' with the Nandos in Dhanmondi? If so we can go there. Coffee as well as light Nandos food! Ek dhil'e dui pakhi

Let's meet at Star Kabab @ Rd#2, Dhanmondi (Adjacent to Dhaka City College). Why?
1. it has a few floors. we can easily find a big area for us which will maximize participation
2. easy to reach from almost every part of the city. it's also very famous.
3. light foods are available there. it offers best tea in the city (bangalir ar ki chai?)

all we have to do, is someone of us going in advance and booking few chairs which won't be a tough task. yours truly is ready to do that)
