6 point lead...pretty handy at this point of the season. Barca looking weaker than I expected.

Messi was lucky not to get a second yellow.. Ref are always by their side.. And if we kept missing easy chance to score against barca its not possible to win! Cr always sucks in this type of matches.. Same goes ozil..

I hate the diving hopped up on steroids midget, but no way did he deserve to get sent off.

A yellow for dissent, and a 2nd yellow for a nothing tackle? No way....

Barca show, despite no longer being the well oiled machine of the last couple of seasons, they are still the team to beat in La Liga.

If CR keep playing every el classico i can guarantee that we will lose no matter what.. This guy is a proven failure in big matches.. Perez and mou should do something if they want to win against barca.. Rm have more than enough quality to beat any other team in the league..Either sell him or Dont play him in this matches.. He was totally clueless yesterday night but mou didnt subbed him..

He isn't a failure in big matches. He scored plenty of goals for United in big matches. We did win 3 league titles on the trot and a CL final with him in the team. Not to mention his goal in the CL final that got United the lead against Chelsea.

But the thing with him always has been, he can't be the creative force in your team - if you expect him to do that, he and the team will suffer. As for not playing him...yeah ok, leave out the most expensive footballer in the world, and 2nd best player.

Ronaldo is to blame - his best season with United wasn't the season he scored 40 odd goals, but the season before that. Where he still played as a winger/wide player, and created as many goals as he scored.

But something changed, and he decided, all he wanted to do was be a goalscorer, and well he has become a deadly goalscorer, but his all round game has suffered as a result.

He became a big match failure.. When the last time he did well in big occassion? You cant back him up by saying what he did 4 years ago..
Your team's best player kept failing to deliver when it matters most but you wont leave him out? Great.. Even if we win this year league title it wont prove we are the best if we cant beat barca..

Btw.. Mou should build team around ozil, benz and kaka..

So another el clasico, another defeat for Real.

This time in the 1st leg of the Copa del Ray at the Bernabeu.

Real took the lead via Ronaldo and a helping hand from reserve Barca keeper Pinto, but Barca turned things around in the 2nd half, with goals from Puyol and Abidal.

Real 1 Barca 2 FT(1st leg)

Madrid need to play Ozil and Kaka both as a starter to beat Barca. Poor team managing by Maurinho

NO.

Barca and Iniesta blew 3 really good chances, the scoreline could have and should have been bigger. Play Ozil and Kaka, and the Madrid midfield would get overrun very badly.

His idea is right - try to stifle Barca in the middle of the park - United did it in a CL semi in 08, and Mourinho did it with Inter. But trying to do the same with Pepe just isn't working out.

You can't play Barca at their game - no one can.

7 point lead for Real in the league....I didn't think they could do it, but it looks a strong possibility now.

Barca dropped points again, losing to Osasuna.

If Real win tonight, they'll be 10 points ahead with 17 games to go. Huge lead.

Though I've neglected this thread, here I am. An important month for Real. And a crucial week which decides their fate.

Let's thrash some Germans tomorrow!

Disappointing result, but still got the away goal. Coentrao was a joke.

Next stop, Clasico! >
