Things to do to kill time before a BD match
1. Think of witty things to say on the "100 things I learned from the Asia Cup" thread
2. Think of innuendos you can casually slip into the Caption This thread unnoticed
3. Revise for an exam
4. Pick belly button
5. Eat achar on its own straight from the jar
6. Watch old episodes of Seinfeld
7. Set off apartment fire alarm with your burning toast
8. Wiki occult societies
9. Rant about a movie on an obscure blog no one reads
10. Watch Tamim's centuries at Old Trafford and Lords and cry
Your turn
(I may or may not have done the above in the last hour)

This is how i kill time before BD match:
1. Read sports news on dailies
2. Read forums
3. Post some comments on forums (if possible open 2-3 new threads on the match)
4. Chat with friends on FB regarding their predictions
5. Day dreaming of the match that we won the game
6. Wake up again and watch comedy movies/dramas
7. Stop the movie and log in again to forums and fb
8. post some comments and back to movies
9. stop movie and chat again with friend on fb....
10. Holla..its match time

^ No such thing as an unnecessary thread when there are a bunch of people with nothing to do but smirk at BC posts/threads =p

Fine, I'll share a little story as well
The great Argentinian writer, Borges in the 1940s wrote this short story called the "Library of Babel" in which he imagined a library containing an infinite amount of books, each book containing a combination of 24 letters and 3 symbols with no book being exactly the same. As the letters in the books would mean different things in different languages and as there was an infinite combination of these books, it was speculated that the answer to 'the Universe and everything' was in one of these books. Not only that, but the guardians of the books, the librarians, theorized that in some book, somewhere in the library, in some language, their future must be written. At the same time, as the combination of the letters were completely random, they may find a completely false account of their future and still believe it to be true! It drove many of them insane and yet they could not stop searching.
In many ways, the internet, with its billions of websites, as harnessed through search engines like Google, bing, etc. are taking on the scope of such a Library of Babel. And in turn maybe, banglacricket with the addition of varied threads will start to do the same haha

You yawn at the fact that I call him "great" or that I introduce him at all? Sometime a little context is needed.

I will miss the first innings. Will be watching my daughter at their middle school musical performance. They are performing the one-act musical "Once on This Island". My daughter is one of the lead dancers and also has quite a few singing parts. Am I a bad father for contemplating one earphone listening to the game while the show is going on?
