Can we beat England?
Most people in Bangladesh think we will win the ODI series v England due to sweeping aside Pak, India, SA and also that match vs them in World Cups but they are in great form ATM and it will be tough for us without Taskin and Fizz. What are our chances, I'll say we will start as underdogs

Desi logic:
"They scored 444 against Pakistan, then they must score 500 against us."

Hmm.... Doublethink
I would have doubts also....but I know how much the Englishmen are susceptible to Bangladesh(Mahmudullah Riyad) in ODIs. ..
Like an optimist, I say, no worries. Break a leg...

Ahhh....it will be totally satisfying to kill the pommies with a banglawash and jump 2 steps up on the ranking table to no.5 position....yeah...check the predictor, if we whitewash England, we'll be no.5 on the ODI ranking table..

Yes we can. I could say this with much confidence if Fizz was fit

Well, the English are coming ... by making sure that Fizz is out ... and won't be playing...
...just saying!

England is certainly one of the hot contenders of World Cup 2019 if they keep this up(all guys right now very very very young)... given the fact that the world cup is scheduled in their own backyard...

I'm confident the slow-low pitches we have will completely negate their dynamic, gung-ho batsmen.

Exactly, pitch conditions will be key. The English may be in for a surprise .

Yes bhai, I hope Ka-edge takes advantage of this opportunity and thrives.
Mahmudullah and Shabbir will shine, I dont have an iota of doubt in my mind.

Trevor Bayliss has moulded the English into one of the best teams in the world. Massive difference in the current team and the one under Peter Moore/Andy Flower.
Having any chance against them would mean producing slow wickets. But at the same time, not at all confident with our spin attack.

we get overconfident and scared too quickly.. the same English team got destroyed in test cricket at home. Yes its a different format and they are much better in ODI but so are we. I dont think the current England side is better then the Indian side we beat last year! What we need is a very good spin attack. We already have Shakib-Riyad-Nasir... add Mosharraf or Taijul and its a much better attack then Pakistan's.
We will lose if we dont perform to our potential. Otherwise I dont see how England will be able to beat us...

It will be a good contest. I am confident we will win because our conditions are different. Pakistan is a dudhvaat odi team and so them losing in England is not a indication of anything. The matches will be played on the slow and low wickets of Dhaka where our spinners are difficult to get away.

Even Afghanistan and BD will be a good contest...
They are mostly power hitters and they got some good fast bowlers. They have the potential to win against any ODI team. I would go as far as calling them favorites against Pakistan in ODI.
