but I think as far as BPL is concerned this is the 1st season so we have let India guide us & Ind took full adwwantage as usual, but hopefully next time we will be more autonome so their will be less bharotio impact.

Rasulullah (Peace be upon him) said, "You say Bismillah and eat the meat." In other words, you do what you are supposed to do, that is, recite Bismillah before eating and do not have a baseless doubt as the animal is slaughtered by Muslims who must have recited Tasmiyah before slaughtering. The order to recite Bismillah and eat was not as a substitute for the Bismillah at the time of slaughtering. (Fathul Bari; Ibn Hajar)

It is not permissible to purchase meat from non-Muslim outlets and simply recite Bismillah and eat it.

btw, some arab people will find the term "haram" offensive (for chicken/beef meat that we consume). They call it "jabiha" for halal chicken and "non-jabiha" for haram chicken.

Clearly, pork is haram. So, pork-er khetre "haram" kothata use kora jai!

I've seen many Arab people/muslims consume non-jabiha meat. But Banglaguy/shafi wrote a wonderful post about it. You can ask your local imam about it. Personally, I am not comfortable with it...so i eat jabiha meat only...and Allah knows best (Allahu 'Alim)...and yes, life ain't easy!

Whenever I cook meat at home they are always Jabiha or halaal meat.
but sometimes I do buy ready made pizza or burger which are of non-jabiha meat,mostly due to unavailability or high price
IDK if it's the muslim food factories who supply to these supermarkets are trying to earn big or the supermarkets intentionally increasing the price and taking advantage of the muslim community.

Something is being done...but not enough. As with most things, our politicians are pussies when it comes to making tough decisions.

In this particular instance, it was basically hundreds of students from a local madrassa who paraded around, chanted anti-minority slogans, then ransacked a couple of mandirs. If it was me, I would have kicked the turd out of these mini Bin Ladens, but I'm not in power. RAB and Police were/are deployed - but you can't provide security for a community in this manner - it simply doesn't work.

We cannot speak about the wrong that is being done to muslims the world over, if we commit the same evil ourselves.

Final Destination 5 - it is what it is....
Rise of the Planet of the Apes(2011 reboot) - thumbs up, so much better than the crap a few years ago with Mark Walhberg
Mission Impossible 4 - Tom Cruise, crazy places, crazy situations, and crazy gadgets - what's not to like? Bit long though...
