Sorry can't agree with you regarding his bowling. Rather he came to the team with consistent performance. Look at the score cards in last 1-2 years. He had a decent bowling performance with the A team in W I,Board cup. . . . Rather his batting hardly blistered, though our selectors thought otherwise.

5% would be a big number. I don't think BCB has that may people on its payroll

I have faith in the selectors.. We needed a medium pacer in the squad and Forhad fits the bill. Especially in Sri Lanka, we need someone who can bat too. Forhad's slower deliveries can become useful in spin track of SL. Also, having him gives the option to go with a tall batting order against PAK.
But honestly, I feel bad for Nazmul. He is probably the most unluckiest player in Bangladesh cricket history of being off again on again and not getting into the 15 of WCT20 pretty much seals his fate. Certainly the selectors or coach sees more in Abul Hossain Raju than Nazmul, which we fans don't see it yet. Abul does have the potential as some of his coaches mentioned. Nazmul also had the potential too. I think with this change, we should move past Nazmul. Forhad is there with a good track record in domestic cricket.

Nazmul is one of our best ever ODI pacers, maybe move on from t20s but he def should be in the one-day team. Anyway Babu and milon would have been better choices, reza's batting is almost nothing these days.

Sad for nazmul... he performs whenever he gets the opportunity. Unfortunately he does not get too many opportunities

at least The Rajib hasn't been selected. But then again, The Rajib can do no worse than The Feza

Failure of an all-rounder keeps getting back into the national side is extremely irritating.

Really mominul had to be in the team. We have no better option than him right now
Forhad reza, doesn't matter how well he bowls in side-matches, is an absolute shocker.
Agree with ppl who wanted to have a look at Milon, d fiercest hitter of d cricket ball in d country - i think. His bowling won't be as good i know bt those one or two 18-run over which he is able to produce can change d complexion of a match dramatically.
Plus he could enjoy some advantages since opponents hv never seen him b4
My personal experience with akram khan tells me that this fellow is woefully short of ideas, let alone being innovative!

Farhad "no-talent" Reza's inclusion baffles me beyond words. Unbelievable.

he is a backup wicketkeeper. You can't go in the WC without a backup keeper.
The Only replacement I would do is Nazmul with Ash.

I thought he become quite consistent with his batting..I mean although his SR is low but still he is scoring runs these days

My evaluation is very different than yours.
I do not want
1) unnecessary runouts (like dropping the ball close to the feat and taking off - This is not baseball that you try to steal and you would still have a chance later if you get caught. Once you are out, you are out in Cricket)
2) giving catch and fielding practice (inside the circle) to opponents during live game
3) create extra pressure of partners to score in a hurry when there are already pressure of the big stage
4) 12+ overs and everyone panicking cause there aren't enough balls remaining in a big chase and thus taking extra risk. Risks most of the time ends up bad for us. Players giving away wickets and losing at the end.
I have nothing against Ash. If he plays, I will fully support him to do good. It is just I know his capabilities. The fault simply rests on the selectors and team management for choosing him. Even Eid innings are not coming.

Why we still need Jahirul, Reza type of guys in the team? That shows their replacement are not upto the mark, or even worse. I rather feel hopeless who are suppose to be their replacement.

do we want a bhangachura allrounder or rather have a geniune medium pace bowler with excellent slower ball, change of pace, tight line and length ? your pick.
Fact of the matter is, I feel we should have made a debut from the folks who did well in the BPL. Enamul Haq jnr, Arafat sunny, Nazmul Hossain Milon, Mominul Haque. One of them could be our trump card. I can see why the selectors refrained to debut a new spinner since we already have capable ones in the lineup but it would have been better than selecting abuls and rezas.
