It seems like people are starting to take notice and realise we're on the up and aiming for 8th position. I rather us get there by our own performances rather than windies' demise.

WI newspaper named Shakib as IceMan...now they published a real positive cartoon for BD. They just simply love BD cricket.

It was actually Utpol Shuvro writing a column for a WI newspaper called Shakib Iceman.

This cartoon says positive things about us by comparing us with West Indies. But It also says in a negative way that we can go up if and only if West Indies let us to do by demoting themselves.

WI is certainly in the down.... but still they are better than us. but i feel we may give their full team a big challenge at home now, but the likes of gayle, chanderpaul, and sarwan will make the difference.

still their FC class structure is strong, they will produce some good strong fast bowlers and some big hitters of cricket balls which BD rarely produces.

but the way are declining we have the chance to surpass them in near future if we get our act together.

Nahhhh......the only way that would make any sense is if WI lose all their matches on purpose. Theres no "West Indies let us"....Its either they win matches and keep their spot or lose them and give it up (Ofcourse, we have to win to claim that spot).

Funny how people try to find negative in everything....

Couple of WI players really make the difference...no one in the BD team can hit out like Gayle...and no one can lead recovery, hold an innings and play test like Sarwan and Chanderpaul...also Taylor is a really good prospect...cannot comment too much on the other players...I think Bravo is pretty good...

We still have a long way to go to catch up to the full strength WI team...

Wish WI cricket pick themselves up and get back to their old ways...

good picture. good laugh.
but on a serious note, WIN must do something to get back on track, the money argument is as weak as BD's middle order, specially after seeing Pollard/Roach's paycheck for 2 month's play. One may say that WIN are missing Sarwan/Cpaul and thats why they are struggling, but they will retire within 3-4 years. then what? I do not see anyone half as good as Sarwan/C'paul coming up.
I really want to see WIN grow back, my good wishes with them

On another note, people never seize to take the opportunity to remind us that BD defeated a weakened WI team, but what about the team that is playing in Aus? I don't think they are much stronger than the team we faced in WI.

Agreed. They'd be a much bigger challenge for Australia if they had their full side, and they really are quite far ahead of us.

I don't want to become 8 or 7 by other team playing badly. I want tigers to play better while other teams r also playing their best.

west indies are with a depleted team ,but can anyone even remember that this tigers team is also a depleted team with what some called"schoolboys",and the same schoolboys trashed the west indies last year, some one in this thread stated that the west indies fc structure is better than their own,i gotta say something when the west indies top players went on strike last year, the selectors had to turn to the second best after the top players, and the bangladesh school boys did what they did and whitewashed their team, bangladesh are there, tha's why i am backing them 100% wheter the win or lose
