BDFlag We want more matches: Tiger Fans to BCB

Saw this on FB. I thought of sharing this too here on BC. Please share the following picture on social media (share it to BCB officials if you know someone personally) and make it viral to force BCB to arrange more matches. After NZ tour, we have no matches for 2 months. Except Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, all other teams will be busy playing. Moreover, we are now so close being no.7 team (1 point away from NZ, 6 points away from WI), we need to play more matches to pass them. Since Zim is also free during that time, lets ask BCB to arrange at least 3 ODI match series against Zim in Bangladesh ! Since T20 WC will be held in Bangladesh, I am sure Zim will want to play some matches in Bangladesh prior to that event. Thanks.

I am afraid to say this but its a futile effort.

Unlike other countries, the middle aged people in our country appear to be somewhat allergic to modern devices. For people such as that to encounter this sort of a picture is unlikely.

A bigger question is that whether they will be even moved by this. Surely our board knows very well that our team plays so little. But do you think they would care? Remember they turned down an offer to tour Ireland and did not want to plat a series with Afghanistan.

As long as there pockets are filled with money, they don't care.

I don't think an arguement if Zimbabwe getting acclimatized will be valid because as per the fixture Bangladesh will not face Zimbabwe before the semi finals. And the chance of that happening is lesser than that of Kanta becoming the next Ms Universe

I also know the chances of this happening is very low but at least I have raised my voice (well read, my support) rather than keeping quiet thinking all the negativity at first.

FB is a big thing in Bangladesh now-a-days. Many movement, protest are being organized through FB.

I can feel for you because I share the same feelings.

As much as we want, we can't change anything. We are a Democratic country where there is no change inflicted by the people and nothing is done for the people

Papon got elected by using his twisted ways. What we true fans is almost irrelevant.

I want more matches too and now we deserve more matches at least in home, period

But tell me what can the BCB do?

Lets look at our options

India--wont invite us and will only tour us if they need it

Aus,Eng,SA--wont invite us or tour us

WI--already toured us and we are scheduled to go there

SL--They are coming so can't complain, cant come early because they have a home series vs NZ

Pak--with cancellation of Pak tour we can forget about them for a while

NZ-- Toured us, doesn't want to invite us, maybe now will invite us, so there is an option for BCB

Zim-- Toured Them and there is another option for BCB to invite them

Associates-- lets be honest BCB along with Many of our Players are afraid to lose against them and wont invite them

So the Options aren't that available, i dont think asking BCB will solve anything..we have to perform with the limited opportunities we get and hope the stronger nations will took notice

I was talking about the next 2 months after NZ tour and you answered your question. All the other test playing countries will be busy playing among themselves. Only Bangladesh and Zim won't be playing any games for next 2 months.

Not quite. A brief ODI series between Pakistan and SAF in SAF later this month has been canceled. We can take PAKs place in SAF.

CSA was expected to lose R200 million (US$ 20m approx.) owing to the curtailed India tour, with the proposed home series against Pakistan expected to help recover some of those costs.
http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan...ry/685447.html
CSA are under the threat of huge financial loss and there are only two teams free to tour ;Bangladesh and ZIm . I wish we could take Pak's place but I know BCB wont take any initiative as DPL will be going on at full swing that time. As most of the ppl in BCB are related to the DPL club I am afraid they wont do anything that may deplete their respective club team strength.

It may not be attractive for SA fans but the series between BD and SA will recover some or all of potential loss of earning.

A trianguar T-20 tournament can bring in lot of money for CSA.

I think the unofficial standard set by the ICC is 12 Tests and 30 ODIs per year. Teams like India exceed that sometimes. We don't need that many - just give us 22 and 8 to begin with.

I can't help but feel the BCB understands this too. But everything in Bangladesh takes time. I'm thinking we'll have to keep ripping our hair off our heads and banging our hairless heads on the wall for a while before we start getting more games.

in 2012 BCB Organized T20 matches in ireland b4 world cup but bd failed to perform & i think bd should concentrete on longer format of the game.bcoz if u can play test odi u will find success in t20 also.

We have non but ourselves to blame. We had the chance to qualify to the QFs of the world cup, failed to beat Pakistan when we should have won.

We are at fault here.
