Default Which four should return after the ODI series?

After couple of solid performances from Tamim and the latest fifty of Aftab, I think selectors should rethink about their selection for the Test squad.

Let's see the choices of BC members.

IMO,

Mehrab
Farhad
Zunaed &
JO

should return after the ODI series. We can also think of sending Razzak back as Enamul Jr. should get the nod ahead of Razzak in the Test matches.

I want to keep Tamim for the Test series, if he fails to deliver in the first Test, we can still push Rajin up in the order and make him the opening partner of SN.

My playing XI for the first Test will be

Tamim
SN
Habibul Bashar
Mohammad Ashraful
Tushar Imran/ Sakib Al Hasan
Aftab Ahmed
Mushfiqur Rahim
Mashrafe Mortaza
Shahadat Hossain
Sajidul Islam
Enamul Haque Jr.

12th Man : Nazmul Hossain

U know having Habibul Bashar isnt really the bright choice, I mean he's finished.
By the way where is Rajin?

Miraz bhai ki sudhu 3 ta bowler niye Test khelte jete boltechen?? India to 610 korchilo...kintu NZ 800 korbe..

We have to take 3 pacers. I want to see Sajidul in both matches. He will give an extra variation to the bowling attack, he can swing both ways which other two pace bowlers can't. Plus Mortaza is out of form. He will not get any success.

Good observation. Slightly changed my playing XI to accommodate another bowler.

JO, Farhad, Nazmul, and Shakib. I know that leaves us with only three pacers and two spinners, but I don't think Farhad, Nazmul, and Shakib will have any effect as bowlers in the test series and thus there is no point hanging onto them.

However, Farhad has done well to put some doubt in my mind. I would have kept him in the team (even if only as a substitute fielder) if the selectors were sensible enough not to send HB.

Anyway my team for the test series would be -

SN
Tamim
Zunaed
Ash
Aftab
Tushar/Rajin/Mehrab
Mushfiq
Razzak
Mashrafe
Sajid

12th man: Mehrab/Rajin

I don't think Junaid will be left out. He's a good opener. Just wait and see what he does in the 3rd match.

4 players most likely will go home are:

1. JO
2. Nazmul Hossain
3. Mehrab Jr.
4. Abdur Razzak

Farhad Reza will stay with the team. He has done well enough to be in the Test Squad. He also had a good form in the NCL with both bat and ball. He could be better than Sakib in the Test matches.

WE have to go with 3 pacers, 1 pace alrounder, 1 spinner to the Test matches. Anything less than that, we will struggle to get wickets.

JO, Mehrab, Nazmul and this is very tricky...Farhad.

My playing XI:

Tamim
Zunaid
Bashar
Ash
Aftab
Shakib
Mushfiq
Mashrafi
Sajidul
Shahadat
Enamul

Cant see why they have sent SN. JS likes the look of Tamim and Z- I think they will play. Then you have JO! What are the chances of JO and SN opening???

None of the young boys are equipped to be a parmanent at this level. Mehrab Jr. is the least ready. That is my explanation.

We got the experienced players that have been drafted to the squad like,
Habibul Bashar, Shahriar Nafees, Enamul Haque jnr, if we got these guys, guys like Mehrab wont be needed.

It is not right if you want to send JO or Nazmul home. They didn't even play in any game (JO just fielded for few hours in one ODI)!! So...how you justify it?

I am NOT a big fan of these two, but feel bad...

Miraz, u didnt include Mohammad Ashraful in the poll, thats understandable because he is the captain but why did u exclude Rajib and Mashrafe from your poll. there performances havent been great? Anyway this would be my starting XI for 1st test:
Shahriar Nafees
Tamim Iqbal
Mushfiqur Rahim(wk)
Mohammad Ashraful(C)
Shakib Al Hasan
Habibul Bashar
Farhad Reza
Mashrafe Mortaza
Abdur Razzak
Shahadat Hossain
Enamul Haque Jr.

I prefer playing two spinners and two pacers in the main bowling attack instead of three pacers and one spinner and we have Shakib, Farhad and Ashraful who will provide some more bowling options along with their batting.

Two should return after the ODI series.. The shame goes to the umpire's. Yes the umpires. These 2 played for newzealand team in the 2nd ODI and they should return to play in tests as well. NZ will play with 13 player in the team for the test. They played with 13 in 2nd ODI anyway.

On a second thought, I think Farhad Reza should stay in the team. Otherwise there will be too many batsmen to warm the bench, not enough bowlers. Instead of Reza, the selectors should send someone from Mehrab and Tushar (can't make up my mind which one it should be) home.

So my send back list - JO, Nazmul, Shakib, and Tushar/Mehrab.

It was not the fans fault that they got selected in the first place. the selectors screwed it up from the very beginning.
