Default Mushfiq and Taposh dropped!!

BKhela reported Mushfiq and Taposh will be dropped from tomorrow's match for Faisal and Tareque. Did not expect Taposh drop!! Think Chaha is opening bowling.

Default surprised but not shocked

about tapash, its ok. he had lost his teeth in ths tournament and never was efficient or wicket taker. but why mushfiq? why not chacha? good to see faisal and rana back, both will be in hunger for runs as they need to be standing tall in order to ensure the space in the 11.

lets hope for the best.

Chaha could be easy pick for the Indians in the first 15 overs. Team management may try a "Dipak Patel" which at least the indian openers are not expecting!

I won't believe this until the start of the match. BD team management never reveals team even during a home series. I have hard time believing that the team management revealed the team this time a day before.

u never know, may be two hundred short of your projected score (borrowed from CI). its may be because we have such a low expectation from chacha, or whatever the reason is, he does better than we expect. its only 9 more hours, we'll wait and see.

I am shocked to hear that Taposh has been dropped. He is our best pacer at the moment and can control the flow of runs at the death. I think this is a very bad decision (If this is true) to drop Taposh. I think only Mushfiq should have been dropped in place of Tarek. You can never write off Chacha, he tends to surprise us when we lease expect it and the bottom line is that Chacha has got a lot of experience, which is needed to beat a team like India. You have to remember that Chacha opened the bowling against Pakistan in the famous victory in 99. So let's give him a chance, he may even prove us wrong.

What the hell??? This makes no sense. Why would we drop our two best pacers for a batsman and another bowler who may get hammered? So I'm guessing Rana has already been picked in place of Javed. Also, with this information, we can see that Razzak will continue to play.

So, the proposed line-up will be:
1. Rana
2. Ash
3. Bashar
4. Rajin
5. Alok
6. Faisal
7. Pilot
8. Rafique
9. Chacha
10. Tarek
11. Razzak

Initially I wanted tomm's line-up to have Faisal in place for Chacha...but if Chacha plays instead of Mushfique...its not a big deal. They are pretty similar players with Chacha having a better chance of having a big game while Mushfique is the more consistent performer. But dropping Tapash for Tarek makes absolutely no sense to me.

Default taif

its a big artilce tail (or TAIF?). anyway, i'll try to give some highlights of it:

bd is playing with 3 big obstacle in this first match of 2nd round: pilot's gloves, rajjak and best performer javed.

india has one problem, fast bowler jahir khan is not playing.

until 48 hours is over, nothing can be really told how bad is his injury. he'll probably miss the entire series.

rana will replace him.

".......there gonna be two more changes. leaving tapash and mushfiq, it was known that the team was made spin dependant". dav memtioned mushfiq's unimpressive performance on explaining the reason of his drop. and pacer tapash is rested in this match".

bla bla bla......... nothing much in the rest.

prothom alo saying the same song of bangladesher khela. it could be that they just copied those lines from bdkhela since those lines are very much similer. whatever the reason is, they are saying the same thing, mushfiq tarash dropped and tareq faisal in.

I am having hard time to believe that we will have only 1 and half pace attack for India! To open the bowling with a slow medium pacer is a shame to a test playing team. Whats wrong with the team management??? Why should Tapash be rested on a crutial match? Its hard to buy this lame excuse. They could have had him rested for the Pakistan match since playing in the secound round was already ensured by beating Hong Kong.

With 5 specialist batsmen, 2 allrounders(if we consider Rana and Sujon to be all rounder!), 1 genuine pacer and 2 leggies, even 5% chance of a win for us will be a sheer utopian thought.

where did u get that? that would be something really special. does raj have the ability to spin new ball? as long as i know only NZ (deepak patel, dani morison) used this. will BD be the 2nd? at least it will be something india would not expect.
