Both teams have no bowlers and the batting is very strong. Even on a bowling wicket, they would play out a draw. If Malinga doesn't return from hospital, the next one will also be a draw

Btw, a 1-0 defeat will mean that India will retain No.1 spot

Tendulkar is really an ageless wonder. There are good players, great players and legendary players. When they reach a certain age, good players usually just drop out of the scene quickly. Great players still manage to stick around for a while with visible drop in performance, like Ponting. But, Legends score double hundreds !

What a boring Test match. Srilanka always make flat pitches like this. Killing the beauty of Test cricket!!

Even though it was a flat pitch I gotta say that both sides batted really well..India under pressure stepped up well..they were in trouble and to their credit they scored 707 which is a great score on any pitch..good job to them..it will be interesting to see if Raina plays or Yuvraj in next test and Malinga will play next test so lets see if India can play better against Malinga this time..I'm predicting a draw in the next test but I'm hoping the Lankans win..

sorry bhai, I wanted to make the changes just before the match started so that I don't have any player out of the game due to injuries. but I missed the start of the match.
changing after the match starts does not count so I didn't make any changes for 2nd test. will do better for 3rd test I promise.

Raina will be awesome on a road track like this. Can't wait to see him play in Eng, Aus, NZ, real sporting wicket.
Kohil, Raina, GG, etc, all those young posers are over rated (may be not GG, but his recent form). Love seeing these young Indian batsmen hop around on bouncers. Lol. Looks like they never played cricket in their whole life.

Now the curator defense story pops up, business as usual. When will such detrimental matches will stop, this type of matches give tests a bad name.

Players/Officials: Anurudda Polonowita
Matches: Sri Lanka v India at Colombo (SSC)
Series/Tournaments: India tour of Sri Lanka
Teams: India | Sri Lanka

Anurudda Polonowita, Sri Lanka's national curator, has defended the pitch at the SSC, blaming the weak bowling line-ups for a dull draw. "I am quite happy [with the pitch]," Poloniwata said. "You take the Indian side. Six or seven world-class batsmen. Top level. Better than England or Australia. What is Sri Lankan batting? Same. All record holders. What is their bowling? We had Murali, we had [Chaminda] Vaas - 800 wickets, 400 wickets. Where are they now? Now see the side. Why don't you talk about bowling rather than the pitch?

"The captains have nothing to say, and say it's a batting wicket, bowlers have no chance. They don't have the bowlers to have a chance. If Sri Lanka had those bowlers at the SSC, they would have won the match. If they took [Sachin] Tendulkar's catch, it would have been 180 for 5, anything could have happened."

he can have a much better paying job as a technical adviser to India's ministry of road transport, we need to make a lot of highways in the near future.

India already have some. All curator of 350+ runs ODI's should be enough. Let the Srilankan curation to construct their own highway. A lot of damage happened during Tsunami you know:-)

no problem. Make three definite changes now and use your rest three after the toss. You will not suffer severely then if you miss the cut off time.

normally Toss happens 25-30 minutes before the match and cut off time. So it counts as long as you are withing cut off time.

I wonder if there will be a fantasy tournament for the Tri Series? If there is one I'm willing to play. Nadim I nominate you to get the crew together again.

I was surprised they didn't have one for the England vs. Pak Series. I always thought England was Cricinfo's 2nd bff right after India. But I guess I was wrong.
