Dilscoop, "involvement in the IPL spot fixing scandal" is not a phrase that can be interpreted restrictively. Involvement can mean many things, it can mean feeding information from the stadium, from the dressing room, from the franchise, etc. or it can mean something even wider, as in facilitating an international betting or spot fixing racket/syndicate. Note, how the article also mentions the BPL and how the architect of this whole racket came to Bangladesh during that time. Hence, why I said that a prominent player wouldn't have to be in India or at the IPL necessarily.

If a player is not playing then he becomes a crowd or fan just like me. now figure out who it is from millions of bangladeshi people. This is stupid reporting and trying to drag us into this. They got caught red handed now trying to say other players from other countries r involved too.

It can't be someone who is/was not part of the IPL. He's not relevant. Also, a bookie would be a major tard to ask someone like, i.e Imrul Kayes living in BD, who was busy saying hi to Virat Kohli on twitter, to give some info about the IPL.

Whether the reports are true or just rumors, it's not that difficult to figure out who they are talking about. It's funny and annoying how some of you lose focus when you get all emotional. "Delete this thread!!" -- like that will make it all go away. "Ban the guy who opened such thread!" -- as if he wrote the reports.

Wouldn't surprise me if a few them decided to throw a couple matches or innings away in the Zimbabwe series.

I can see one being frustrated for sitting around for 3 months and not getting to play, and then all of a sudden extra cash opportunity shows up. Plus, you already hate the team. I hope these are just rumors and I expect him to be a lot smarter than this, but that could very well be the case...

This whole fixing network is a whole lot bigger than it was originally thought. This is the first proper crackdown by the authorities, the net has been laid and hopefully more fishes will be caught.

The news about a Bangladeshi player being involved is most likely false, since only a handful of channels have reported it based on some speculation. This speculation arises from the fact that the police are questioning and are about to question a lot of people for information/evidence. That doesn't mean that all of them are involved in fixing.

And we all know how the Indian media try to speculate about Bangladesh. When the Mumbai bombings happend, intially Indian media tried to point the finger at Bangladesh.

After all when it comes to match fixing, India is one of the front runners. Apart from bookies mainly coming from India. their own captain Azharuddin was done for match fixing.

I just hopes this turns out to be untrue and the Indian media eat humble pie.

I dont think Ash is that low that he will take the Match Fixing route.

Sir Ashraful cant even speak properly, how do you suggest that Ashraful would even understand a third of what the bookie said?

The route cause of all evil, India. All this day's Pakistan were treated like fixing is born in their country. However as people are seeing the network begins from India, sit and make the deals and let others get caught, happy to see the crackdown has begun, unless India government wants to silence everything, hoping for a bigger crackdown and harsh punishment

Until there is news, let's not speculate. Again, read the forum rules.
