Default Tamim's opening partner ?

Well, I guess the experiment with this slot will go on for a while. My choice would be to give Aftab a try, although I suspect SN or even JO will be called back to fill this position.

Aftab Ahmed only in ODI
But I would love to see his brother Nafees Iqbal opening with him. If we don't try we will never find out.

Oh, forgot to mention this poll is for the ODI team only.

Nafees Iqbal for the Test team ? Worth a try.

Shariar Nafees is the man for the job. Let Aftab play as no. 6 batsmen.

I would like to go with Sezan, made him captain in ODI as well as test and send Ash the fool in exile for two years. The vacant slot may be taken by SN at ODI and Mushi at test

These opening partnership threads are like cancerous growths, right? Just keep coming back to haunt us. I'd say Mushfiq - the guy stuggles against quality pace with his high back lift but I think he's worth a shot since we don't have any decent options either way and Dhiman can take care care of wicket keeping duties.

No Imrul Kayes please. Imrul didn't do well in SA and Eng-Ire tour. And before calling him into the national squad, he needs to play FC/List A/A team/Academy team matches for three more years.

Would like to see Shezan in middle order though.

If Aftab opens, we will have no solid number three. So, we need SN or JO (If SN fails horribly) as Tamim's partner.

well let's see, for the moment give junaid a few consecutive matches because he didn't get that in his first few matches. if then junaid fails then we have to look at the options of national discards or A team players which basically means there's aftab, rahim, nafis iqbal and imrul still yet to be trialed.

we already know how nazimuddin, JO, SN and mehrab will go and although junaid should get a few more matches we have a reasonable idea how he'll go as well unless he pulls something out of a hat. out of the bunch that has been tried already SN is probably still looking like the best option. out of the options not already tried aftab and probably imrul are looking like the best options. but imrul hasn't been doing that well on these A tours and academy tours so it has to put some doubt in your mind as to whether he's even worth trying.

at this point i think the plan should be to give junaid maybe 4 or 5 more matches (consecutively) and if he doesn't work out give aftab ago, if then aftab doesn't work out i'd probably just go with SN becuase i don't think rahim or NI will really be the answer and imrul most likely needs more time. it really can't be helping tamim or the rest of the team that the opening partnership keeps on chopping and changing, team needs some stability.

for sure with the current batting problems taking a player like ehsanul who is both experienced and consistent in the FC format couldn't hurt the team much at all, certainly worth a shot.

S.Nafees is still the best option I think. Aftab could be our no.3 batsman. and down the order the way Alok is serving, he deserves a 12th man task for a while.

I think that Tamim should have no opening partner. He have a runner, at the other end who imitates a batsmen, but doesn't bat. If he gets a single, the bowler changes ends. But Tamim hits most of his rund in boundaries, so I think that he won't need a runner. I bet that he'll do a better job on his own than with some other the other muppets that have been tried.

I have always maintained that Shariar Nafees should be be given the opening slot, he has experience. you cannot use him for only a few games, and even if he fails, just dump him. He is the best choice.

Bring back Belim. He would've at least been able to give us a few starts...however slow it may have been.

Why not playing SN as no 3/4? He is very good with spin.
