He was changing his batting stance to confuse the bowler. One moment he was batting left handed and then changed into right handed. Another time, he was standing straight facing the bowler with the bat in front...

Sledging? Nah. It wasn't any sledging man. It was pure mastani. You will need to see it to believe it

^Thanks. Maybe that's why Shapoor miya bowled that no-ball. I saw him hitting one straight down the ground and say something to Zadran when taking the single.

It was funny when it happened, but I thought there was no need for it.
He is good enough to hit the balls clean and simple, no need to super improvise to that extent.
He Only dared to do that cuz the bowler was Afghan, don't think he would have done it if it was some Aussie or Pak bowler. It was disrespecting the bowler.
Someone of his calibre doesn't need to do that. It was childish and immature.

No doubt he's a real talent but is he and our other batsman good enough to successfully take on bowlers like Malinga especially in that tour to Sri Lanka? not so sure. However I still feel him and Anamul will be Bangladesh's best 2 batsman soon.

Do the same rules of "sportsmanship"/cricketing spirit apply in T20s as they do in Tests - especially given the fact that one of the chief attributes of the former is sensationalist entertainment? Is it out of place in a form of the game which seems to exaggerate emotions? I found Nasir's mastani to be highly enjoyable to watch and reflective of his desire to win the game. Yes, it ultimately didn't pay off - but while people might not remember RR's exact margin of defeat by the end of the BPL, they'll remember Nasir's antics.

^^ I agree. That was entertaining and it was good to see his self-confidence.

^^ I'd love to see that style of confidence against Malinga. But I bet he would never dare to stand like that and wave his bat while Malinga fast approaching towards the bowling mark to bowl at him.
Then why Zadran ? Cuz he is an Afghan and they are not really known for their cricket ?
Nasir is too good of a player to pull such tricks in such an intense moment of the run chase.
Entertainment is a part of the T20 package but this format has become a serious business with people investing real money out of their pocket to win. The circus should be kept outside the whiteline.
He is still very young, highly talented and is shaping up to be a real match winner. Confidence is good but if it is pampered it would lead to arrogance.
For years we've been trying to earn the world's respect. But when it comes to our turn to do so, we should oblige as well.

It was done before. Craig McMillan did the same to Shane Warne to put him off.

Never saw Freddie Flintoff yawning and ordering a cup of tea when Five footer Sujon was bowling knee height bouncer at him.

exactly what I wanted to say,
But I won't blame him much, it's ok if time to time he does a bit of sledging but as long as he doesn't repeat it in the same match I'm ok.
Anyway,it was funny how Shapooriya later on bowled a no ball, but also phail from NAsir as he missed out on it.
He is young , so let's not over analyse it, he will learn, but his sledging is cooler than Kohli's or Harbhajan's, he doesn't use bad words.

He shouldn't have done that to Afghan players, prefer if he does it to annoying bowlers like Zaheer Khan, Tino Best, Inshant Sharma, Stuart Broad, Kyle Mills, Tim Southee, Mitchell Johnson and Shane Watson.

Those were gangster moves by Nasir. But I agree with Razab, if he's so gangster, he should show it against the bowlers from test playing nations too. Beating up on the little guy is not cool.
Then again, we don't really know the full story here. Perhaps there were earlier incidents in the match, where Zadran was either sledging Nasir and/or other Rangpur players. Perhaps Nasir's antics were retaliatory in nature.

^^^ Zadran crippled RR's top order. I think thats why Nasir was bit upset.

That sorta stuff can be very unsettling for the bowler. Zadran looks like a pretty decent fast bowler, why can't we produce a few like that?
Anyways, Nasir has come a long way as a T20 batsman. Give him more responsibility and bat him up the order in T20Is.

amra bangali ra pario, shomalochona koray ostaad.,
arey bhai, u guys forgetting how NAsir handled the WIndians, Pollard and had a coliision with a WI fielder while taking a single.
he is now doing it with Shapooriya, ya he is pom Afghan but so what? he was the pick of the bowlers in this particular match, who is like two times taller than Nas.
it's just a start for a 20 yr old, just wait & be patient, he will have a go at Gul,Malinga,Ishaant Shorma.

Nasir just had bit of fun many people here saying he shouldnt do this because the bowler from afgha, I don't think he is from afghan thats why Nasir did that, he would do, this to any player from any country in that moment, its got nothing to do with afghan.
