Actually I like your team, though I had posted my team in the other thread, but Ashraful should not open and Aftab should come at 3.

I propose the batting order as follows:
Javed Omar
Nafees Iqbal
Aftab Ahmed
*Habibul Bashar
Rajin Saleh
Mohammad Ashraful
+Khaled Mashud
Mashrafe Mortaza
Khaled Mahmud (Chacha)
Mohammad Rafique
Najmul Hossain

I like your team, what about replacing Mohammad Ashraful (who is totally off form) by Rana!

It's a mystery. He score 4 consecutive ducks in this series! Who knows, maybe he is spending too much time practicing his bowling.

Ash is still a terribly immature kid who has immense batting talent. I would rather replace Rajin by Rana in that case. Nafees Iqbal is not in good form too.

My team would be a bit different. The main difference is, I can not rely on the pacers any more. Regardless of the condition, they are not good enough to bother international players. If anyone can, thats spinners. Enamul is already on his way back, so Rana has to be in. I know many of you will disagree with me, but I will include Rana as a 2nd spinner who can bat too. here is my team, in order. I've to keep Mashrafee at number 11 because as it appears he is totally unable to play moving balls. As long as he played in subcontinent he was quite good but in england no. 11 is his batting position.

  1. Javed Omar
  2. Nafis Iqbal
  3. Aftab Ahmed
  4. Habibul Bashar
  5. Mohammad Ashraful
  6. Rajin Saleh
  7. Khaled Masud
  8. Manjural Rana
  9. Mohammad Rafique
  10. Taposh Baisya
  11. Mashrafee Mortaza

i would go with smith team. manjurul is more useful than chacha, he can go through his 10 overs with economy which chacha is unlikely to do. however chacha should be kept in the team 14.

Default We Need a Winning Combo!

The bowlers that bowled out India in our famous victory against India were not spinners. In a pace friendly peach I would go with the same winning combo. To Win a game at Netwest we need all of them.

Mashrafee
Tapash
Sujon
Nazmul

This is how the team should look like

1. Javed
2. Nafis/Rajin (based on ODI practice matches)
3. Aftab
4. Tushar/Ash (based on ODI practice matches)
5. Bashar
6. Pilot
7. Rafique/Rana (based on ODI practice matches)
8. Sujon
9. Tapash
10.Mashrafee
11. Nazmul

I would have Rana in instead of Rajin. Rajin has had trouble playing in England. He failed last year in the ICC Champions trophy and has done nothing this time round.

1. Javed Omar
2. Shahriar Nafees
3. Aftab Ahmed
4. Habibul Bashar
5. Md. Ashraful
6. Manjural Islam Rana
7. Khaled Mashud
8. Khaled Mahmud
9. Md. Rafique
10. Mashrafe Mortaza
11. Nazmul Hossain

I think we really need to try out Ashraful in the tour matches. He is horrible form so we need to fix that.

Surely Tapash has got to play in the ODI he has an excellent record? its going to be tricky selecting the final XI....... Javed has got to stay and play....but who partners him Iqba, Shahriar N or Rajin?

In the middle Bashar, Aftab, does Ash deserve to play, would manjural Islam play better than Ash ? lol

Tushar Imran is coming over they must be impressed with him, hope he shines in the warm up matches.

Bowling wise.... Rafique, Mahmud, Nazmul and Mortuza or will Tapash get a chance.... Also has Anwar played his final games he has not shown us anything.

how on earth rafique is being thought to be a probable replaceable player ? He cant be replaced. If his bowling doesnt click in english conditions, his batting is a potential firearm for BD team.

the main concern should be whether ashraful be in the squad or not. Just because of the immense talent he hold, despite his awful sense of mature batting, i still think he will not be left out.

The squad for the first ODI that i prefer is as follows (next ODIs should be depended on the first ODI's performance, atleast for a couple of players) :

Javed Omar
Nafees Iqbal
Aftab Ahmed
Habibul Bashar
Rajin Saleh
M Ashraful
Khaled Mashud
Khaled Mahmud / Manjarul Rana
M Rafique
Mashrafe Mortaza
Tapash Baisya

1. Javed Omar
2. Nafees Iqbal
3. Aftab (need to take advantage of 1st 15 overs)
4. Habibul
5. Rajin (need him to stay at the wicket)
6. Ashraful (can come handy in slog overs)
7. Pilot
8. Chacha/Rana (chacha should be the first choice. if chacha performs horribly, then he can be replaced with rana)
9. Rafique
10. Mashrafee
11. Tapash/Nazmul (tapash 1st choice)
.

I like the team but rajin should go number 3 and aftab should play number 6. Just like the 2nd innings of 2nd test against england because bangladesh need some one at number six to carry on. just a thought.
