Default who are the best stroke makers?

who are the best stroke makers in bangladesh and how do you compare them to best in the world?

my guess is ash and aftab, and they just need to work on their maturity to reach the level of the greats.

Ash is disappointing everyone. Not doing justice to his name and talent. Probably need another treatment like one he had after pakistan tour. So, he is not the best stroke maker at this moment.

Bashar is a stroke maker only when they provide short ball. In odi, he will not get as many short ball as in test, so don't count on him.

Rafique is good stroke maker when the ball is not moving. same goes for Mashrafee.

Nafis is a natural stroke maker but learned how to hold his desires. So, he can be useful if he gets loose ball. A better prospect at this moment.

Rajin and JO are not stroke maker. forget them.

We are left with AFTAB. the only possible player who can appear as a stroke maker during the ODI. a lot depends on him as well.

How do they differ from international stroke makers? They are not comparable as of today.

I dont condider Ashraful a strokemaker...
He appears to be verrrry verrry inconsistent.
But Aftab appears to be more consistent than Ashraful.
I'm sure Aftab is going to be better cricketer than Ashraful in near future...
And what about Mashrafe with his slog?

the best strokemaker ever to play for Bangladesh, I firmly believe, is Shahriar Hossain (Biddyut). Currently, Aftab is by far the better of all the national players.

yeap..shahriar biddut was the best strokeplayer..
the guy had a heart of a lion....(lionheart) biddut...

never seen him suffering from dilemma...unlike our most batsman...to play or not to play...but then when decided to play...it is too late..and there is a edge to the keeper....

in the current squad....
ash..when that thickhead is consistent ( which is rare)..
aftab...definitely... but too much stroke..no patience...
wants to hit everyball over the ropes...
wont work that agaisnt gillespie, mcgrath or lee...

rafiq is good on his own days...but wudnt put a single cent on him though....

havent seen mashrafee bat yet...only heard...
waiting to see some real slog...

and how they compare to the rest of the world ??
well..when the backbone of the batting order (eg ash JO habib nafis) have an average of 20 something after playing a million matches....it doesnt really compare to the other teams...honestly....got miles to go...

I hear there are some serious politics in the backyard on player selection and players who use to be Saber Choudhury'd close dude were eventually pushed out from team. Sigh...Bangla

In 90's Nannu and Akram were the best stroke players, and at present Ashraf and Aftab are the best stroke players, in my opinion.

I would go for Javed Omar Belim.

Why? He played attractive shots in English conditions, against quality bowling and was most importantly consistent. Ashrafuls a big of a big hitter rather than stroke maker.

Like in the England team, Flintoff hits the most boundaries, but Vaughan and Geraint Jones are the most attractive stroke makers. As far as I am concerned Vaughan has the most attractive cover drive in the game after Lara, when he middles one through the covers it just looks so good it's orgasmic. Wheras Jones s is probably the best player of the cut England have had since Robin Smith.
