Default Asia Cup 2003 probably in mid-August in SL

According to Sportsline news of Star Sports, Asia Cup 2003 is probably going to be held in mid-August in SriLanka.

I also don't see any tour by any Asian side in August, except for Bangladesh's 3rd ODI vs Australia finishing on 6th of August.

But there is nothing about this tournament on Sri Lanka's website of forthcoming tours/tournaments.

Also, in 2004 September, England will be the host of ICC Knockout.

I read about Nehra's injury. In that it wwas written that he would be out for 5 months and would miss the tri-series in BD and also the confirmed Asia cup in august in SL.

fwullah,

There must be something about this on the ACC website. probably UAE and Nepal would also play alongwith the 4 test-playing nations.

Good news!!!! Shahid both of your news are good the nehra one and the asia cup1. So, I think that we will get some wins in both the triangular series and Asia Cup 2003. Lets all pray and wish the best luck to our team.

Watchout everyone!!!! There comes BD with the tigers. I hope I don't have to call them cat and wish they show up some good wins.

ehsan,

if you want more good news, that is good for BD but not for Ind. Sachin, Dravid, Srinath, Kumble are not coming for BD tour. probably Ganguly wont come too.

Maybe we can beat India !!!

If Sachin, Dravid not coming then we might have a chance against Ind. If Gongopadhay babu doesn't come either then we have even better chance.

scorecard:

11th april 2003, dhaka

BD 247/5 (50 ov), this was what we got last time we played against them.
Ind 204(48.5 ov), if holland can bowl them out for this much, why can't we ?

Bangladesh could not even beat Canada, an ICC team. How do you suppose that Bangladesh can beat the ACC teams? Although strength of the ACC teams are supposed to be lower than the ICC team.

Bangladesh does not even have a total of over 300 runs, which Holland already has. Bangladesh don't have two One Day International century scorers, which Holland already has. And I am comparing Bangladesh with Holland because both teams have played in 2 world cups.

Default There is no website of ACC

As far as I know, there is no website for ACC (Asian Cricket Council).

May be you can search for it and find the site (if it exists now than the time when I looked for it) then please give a link of the site.

2 ACC associate teams - UAE and Hong Kong are also playing in the asia cup and we should beat them comfortably. these ACC associates are weaker teams than ICC associates. when we were an ACC associate, we won both the ACC trophies we played in 1996 and 1998.
