Default Andy Roberts is not coming to Bangladesh?

Accordiong to Ittefaq, he is busy and can not take on this job now. This is disappointing!

Ittefaq News

Prothom Alo also reports the same.

Prothom Alo says that Andy Roberts (or Fleming) can't come to Bangladesh immediately - by mid August. Since there won't be much time left before our SL tour, so we won't get any bowling coach for the upcoming SL tour. However, they could come (or somebody else) after our SL tour.

Too bad! He would be great coach since he had already done some work with Bangladesh cricket team.

Well there are reports of miscommunications between BCB and the potential coaches. And we all know that there are quite a lot to be desired from the BCB and it's media outlets.

From what I could gather so far is the notion that having a bowling coach before the Lanka tour is very slim. I wouldn't be jumping to any conclusion beyond that.

Its very tough to get very qualified people on very short notice. Thats very normal. We are expereincing this in our work place, we have been looking for an expert for more than a year, still none found.

So, nothing to worry about. We must realize that getting Andy or Damien for long term basis will take some time. They have to sort out their current engagements, BCB has to agree on financial terms, there are immigration requirements, all these will take time.

In fact, I never expected the bowloing coach to take over before the SL tour. In my opinion, its nothing bad if we get them even after SL tour.
