Not squite sure what all the excitement is about - Isn't Kent at the top of one of the leagues, this year ?

All this elation over the bowlers and Tushar is probably misguided.

And this also indicates to Nafis Iqbal's current plight with form. It appears to be far more worse than we think.

and he ends up 5 for 48
what kind of good thing was that?

I am afraid that we are loosing the grip once again...if they (kent) manage to come close to our score you all know what's gonna happen in the second innings..

Yorkshire with 3 starters (Woods, JJ Sayers and Lumb) humiliated us. Lancashire with 1 starter (IJ Sutcliffe) was humiliated by us. Kent has 0 starter so the expected result should be in our favor. (Even Saggers did not play against Glamargan in the last match).

Numbers show Tushar's tour is going good if not great.

Against Team..Run......Ball.......Results
British Univ......32.........52.........loss,
Glostershire...119, 29..189,54.....loss ,
Glamergan.......10.........11.........rain-draw,
Lancashire.......93.........91.........win,
Yorkshire......116, 12..164,18.....loss,
Durham..........22.........13..........win
(abir's 147 didn't have time to bat),
Surrey...........70, 13....71,26...draw,
Kent...............86..........90.......ongoing.

He should no doubt play for BD ODI team. But for test, he is not a 1st down batsman. Middle order should be his place. 1st Down whoever plays must have patience to block everything and eat up time first and then, after a session in the middle open up.

Yes, Tushar should play at middle order in Test matches. I think #5 or #6 would be good position for him.

Currently, Bashar is the best and only successful #3 batsman we have for Test matches. And I don't agree with your block everything, eat up time method. Pre-medicated block everything attitude is as bad as pre-medicated hit everything attitude. It's possible to get away with pre-medicated defensive mode against Zimbabwe, but against top class teams it won't help. Nafees Iqbal is the shining example of this.

Thanks for doing this. I was looking for this info. Was too lazy to do the search.

He wasn't out on single digit in the entire tour. Pretty amazing.

He has alredy scored 602 runs on this tour. Mind boggling. That got to be a Bangladesh record by far. Probably doubled the previous record.

Well, they're all out for 153. I would have liked a greater margin than 32 runs in our favour, but it's time now for our batsmen to put up a bigger score than in our first innings. Unfortunately, our A team seem to have trouble maintaining ther concentration during their second innings.

Not a very promising start: Mehrab and Alok Kapali both out for 8 each, and Tushar Imaran out for 12. We're at 82 for 3 (lead by 114). I'd like to have a lead of around 230 before putting Kent in to bat.

230 should be feasible. But is also an achievable target. Kentís tail scored (the last four) over 100. 260+ would be a nice total.

If BD-A can't cross 200 in two tries against Kents bench, that would be sad.

155 all out -- only an 187 run lead. Not promising.

the end of this tour was really poor. a very poor performance by BD-A. lot of improvement/practice needed.

only positives: Tushar Imran and S. Nafees were reasonably consistent.

bowling and fielding: need more consistency.
