Default Moni set to retire???

With Moni refusing to play for BD and at the age he is i don't see any point in him continuing his career

REBEL ENAMUL

First it was Naimur Rahman. Now Enamul Hoque has also turned his back on the national team.

Naimur, the former Bangladesh captain and all-rounder, on Monday refused to play for Bangladesh during the two-match Test series.

The selectors have sought an extra spinner during the home series against South Africa.

But after Naimur, who bowls off-breaks, said he was not happy to play international cricket under the current selection procedure. They asked the balding Enamul to fill the void.

But the wily slow left-armer for unknown reasons is also reluctant to help the selectors out.

The first Test starts in Chittagong next week.

Default too bad

I always liked moni and don't know why they dropped him. he can bowl all day, is sometimes useful with the bat, so I don't know why his age was a problem. the younger guys could all learn from him and he would be a good mentor to the kapalis, ashrafuls, etc.

moni-rafique combo against south africa in the tests would have been interesting (given SA's weakness against quality spin) but was never likely to happen.

Exactly. Both Moni and Rafiq should be played against SA. But our selector are too ignorant about cricket to see it.

Moni, Rafiq, kapali, Sanwar and Masri. It could bring us the 2nd ever test all out under 300.

Isn't Moni too old to play?? I think he should be broght back to teach the new comers like Ashraful and Kapali. Not to play as I think he's not much fit. I do always like him, he's a great player.
