my avatar doesn\'t work
moderators,
i inserted URL in my avatar but it doesn't seem to work.
can i use an external website link to select only an animated picture rather than a full page?(the page contains text, animated pic, and editing facilities)

If you want to use a external link just use the link for the image and it shud work.
Please note: for maintaing site design please dont use too big a avatar. And also keep the filesize to a reasonable level as we have many dialup users.
NOTE: right click on the image and choose "copy image location" to get the image url. [For Firefox]
or right click on the image to go to properties and copy the Address (URL) from the General tab. [Internet Explorer]

You can use a URL only if that URL leads to an image file. You are trying to use an HTML file as your avatar. Upload the image that you wish to use as your avatar to the web, and use that specific link on your profile.

i think this is not gonna work the way you suggested because this is a simulation program written in html and requires shockwave.
if you do think it will work, please have a go and let me know.

Sorry, shockwave files are are not allowed as avatars. Choose an appropriately sized image file such as .gif, .png, or .jpeg.
