Default who do u think will win this contest gang or chap

regarding the soap opera going on in indian cricket........ after so much fanfare (and so much $$) they hired chappel. but it seems like all a waste. now we got indian players complaining that chappel is too strict (may be dont give them time to appear in commercials). some players taking side of gangs and some to chap.

who do u think will win this "terrific contest"?

Players backing Ganguly ;we might have an answer to the poll question here but only time will tell.:

http://content.cricinfo.com/india/co...ry/220118.html

I believe players are sensible enough to decide when to appear for the commercial.
Chappel is trying Australian method on the Indians which won't work. On an averagre,an Indian will not be as fit as an Australian.

That is why a vast country like India can not produce a competetive soccar team.

How fit were Gavaskar, Vishwanath, Prassana and going back Sardesai and Pankaj Ray?

Present team is reasonably fit for internatioanl Cricket: Fitness is only a part of the requirement but talent is more important. Otherwise 11 good athletes will winCricket matches.

oh ganguly will win this one. He got the players' support. I just never liked Chappel's "methods", period.

if chappel go, which I think more probable sitution, then DW would not move in. He has almost unparallel power in Bnagladesh. why he would want lost it? He had an example of GC and how he failed to wrest power from Indian Senior playeres. So don't worry. He would not move.

Ganguly's been passed his best for a long long time and for mine isn't up to international standard anymore. I don't want to see him continue to embarrass himself

Go Chappell

he may have past his best but chappell doesnt udnerstand the sub continent polictics that goes on. Even after this saga, polotics will still be goin on behind the scenes and chappell looks like a man that doesnt like it, and i dont see him lastin long either

Chappell, getting a dose of the reality that sub-continental politics is, may well throw in the towel and leave in disgust. After the hearings are over perhaps.

the much awaited meeting just concluded a while ago & decided both Ganguly and Chappell are to stay..there were strong speculations for this type of finishing.. & it gonna be reevaluated on the comeing home series performance.. they gonna have a close eye on both of them..any one fails going to show the exit point by the committiee .

* sorry for posting it twice..actually i didn't see this thread

so it is a draw. The nxt episode coming soon. Chappel was not a succesful course and Ganguly is not the batsman he was. So Gang and Chap - the sequel would be release anytime before decembor.

Actually everybody wins to some extent.

The Gangu fans think they win...because Gangu is still the captian, that means Chap lost a bit.

The Chap fans think they win... because Chap is still the coach, and Gangu needs to prove each any every game ... he is going to fail sooner or later

The India fans think they win ... because they really don't care about either of them, they care about the team, team chemistry and team result. They think Gangu still have some more to offer and Chap is a future great coach who will bring the max from the team

And now the India non-fans think they win.... beacuse this will not stop the conflict that went beyond repair. As long as two are there, this mess will continue to grow, which will definitely have a huge negative effect in team's perfomance.

Default Chappel is ahead in the game.

That was very nicely summed up by Fazal.

Right now Chappel is ahead in the game:

Read this inetresting article.

http://www.anandabazar.com/12khela1.htm

The matter is in the hands of the selectors, who will decide on Captaincy on the 13th.

Chappel will be under pressure as he will have to inspire India to a series win. Otherwise he will lose ground.

In case Ganguly is selected, as the Captain or even just as a player, he will be under tremendous pressure to perform.

Mnay have vented their feelings against and in favour of Ganguly, some have even made obsene remarks to satisfy their regional ego, now it's time to stay tuned for action.
