Default is flintu the best player in the world?

goes flintu's middle stump to shoaib akhter for a duck(or is it 1). after all the ashes heroics , flintu seems no match for akhter. what happened to the so called best player in the world?

A bad performance does not take away the achievements of a really very good all-rounder. He has been a match-winner for England for quite a while. In fact, England - Flintoff = 1/2 * England. So, let's just give him the due respect.

On the other hand, it's not a bad idea to humiliate any English player when you get a chance, though!

I think it is England - Flintoff = 0.75X england. You are ignoring the effect of Harmi and Tres

I do not agree at all. Then what is the differnce between us and all those crap writers of Cricinfo and other indian web sites.

well one innings doesnt prove anything... he player well in the first test and took some wickets and scored runs also... unless he continues to fail in both forms for couple of innings we can't say anything... but in my mind I have no doubt... he is the best allrounder I have seen so far.......

looks like his reverse swing doesnt work outside england...

Well, there has been evidence of Freddie reverse swinging it at times, but players on either side have struggled to get it reversing.

Besides, regardless, he is stand out bowler.
