The 25 players selected for primary squad for Aus Tour
A primary list of 25 players will be announced this week for practice for the Australian tour coming up. Bangladesher Khela has reported that players from the last South Africa tour, the TVS cup and South Africa's tour of Bangladesh will be participating for the Australia tour.
The new faces in this primary list are:
1) Nafees Iqbal (Akram Khan's nephew and a Mohammedan player)
2) Aftab Ahmed (Mohammedan player)
3) Moniruzzaman Moni of City Club
4) Mushfiqur Rahman Babu of Victoria (then he is still in the minds of the BCB people after all!)
5) Aminul Islam (probably)
Besides these players, the regular players of the last SA home and away tours and the TVS cup inlcude the following:
SA tour:
1) Khaled Mahmud (the present captain)
2) Khaled Mashud (the former captain, wk)
3) Habibul Bashar
4) Javed Omar
5) Al Shahriar
6) Hannan Sarkar
7) Sanwar Hossain
8) Alok Kapali
9) Mohammad Rafique
10) Monjurul Islam
11) Tapash Baisya
12) Talha Jubair
13) Rafiqul Islam (I think he will not be in the primary list)
14) Anwar Hossain Munir (He too, will not be in the primary list)
SA tour to BD & TVS Cup*:
15) Mohammad Ashraful
16) Mashrafee Bin Murtoza
17) Tareq Aziz
18) Mohammad Selim (wk)
19) Enamul Haque
20) Mehrab Hossain
* Akram Khan has retired so he will not be included in the primary list.
So, is Ehsanul Haque going to be the only player to be not included in the 25 man list? I don't think so.

This is frustating. Aftab does good against SA in a practice match, so we call him to the national team camp. We will simply lose this kids confidence and courage by putting him in test before he is ready.
No one should come in the national team before some A team tours. No rushing will help.
Slow and steady wins the race.

You can get lucky, but did you get consistency this way from any of those 3?
You have to train them grow test match temperment. Otherwise, rushing in will only overwhelm the talent.
Before it was a monerchy. Now, we are trying to do the right things. Even Sarwar Imran pointed this out. There is a big gap between Dhaka league and International level. We need to make all come throught U-19 and A team.

why Aminul Islam....
his performance was not so good......
I think that guy Moniruzzam who scored 850 runs in the league ..the highest.......
he should be included......

Everything depends on how everyone performs in Whatmore's eyes.
If Rokon-Hannan-Seejan trio performs better during practice, and at least 2 of them gets into the final team, then there is no room for Moniruzzaman Moni/Nafis Iqbal/Aftab Ahmed considering that Opee/Selim/Tareq Aziz will not be dropped.

i think there is no need of Selim...
Pilot is best choice Wicket keeper......
u see when pilot was droped from the team ....after 3 days he scored a century for victoria... so u see he is in form... and Whatmore always prefers experience......
I saw Moniruzzam couple years back in Mymensingh Stadium.... i saw him this season when he was playing for city club..... there is a lot of improvement..........
He has a very technique.........
whatmore should give him a chance...

What if Moniruzzaman's technique does not turn out to be like as good as you're saying, what then?
Don't mind my saying this, as I am feeling sleepy by now, but can you elaborate on the improvements that you are saying?

I think Aftab has been included too early into the national team.
