Default Targets against Kenya

Our batsmen need to perform, im expecting:

At least our highest odi score against, the kenyan bowling is really poor to be honest

Our batsmen to make solid, big scores, not doing so will be poor, not centuries nesssarily but sound , consistent performances in teh 4 odis

To complete a whitewash if not then not lose more than 1 odi.

The bowling not being agressive and treat the opponents with respect and ake each wicket on its own merits. Expect the wickets not to come for free so no over confidence.

4 ODI's, all of which 250+ are scored (if batting first)
If bowling first, restrict Kenya to less than 200

May be unrealistic, but if it were to happen it would give BD a whole lot of confidence

Since all of you have already mentioned about my expectaions, then let me say what I don't expect, but, can happen:

1. Lose first 2 of the 3 ODIs and then the 4th ODI being washed out due to rain or bad weather

2. Kenya scoring over 300 against us (their highest score IS against us and that being over 300 runs)

3. We getting all out for below 150 (one of our lowest IS against them - 100 runs to be exact)

There are also countless number of things that can happen, only I wish I could get them out of my head!

How many 300+ innings did we see when these BD players played in premmier league? Can anyone tell?

Is KEN weaker than a premmier team of BD league?

Our target has to be 4-0...with 300 plus score ever ODI given the condition ofcoruse we bat 1st...

Come on guys...we r test playing nation and we need to prove our worth comp. ot Kenya coz there are critics still saying Kenya and BD same or lil better...

We need to shut their mouths forever...

If we thrash Kenya badly...it will be too gud....our cricketers will b more confident.

If w bowl we shld make them out below 200..

This series..

I want to see Ash, Aftab, Shahriar scoring centuries...

Break Opi's 101 national record....

I don't need anything above 4-0 clean sweep.

and I'll very upset if we can't make that.

one and only target.

Again don't day dream please. Looking at recent form both Bangladesh and Kenya are playing good. We need to take Kenya seriously with the least arrogance but greatest application, specially our batsmen need to reassure us that their decline has stopped for good. We don't need to set 300+ scores to beat kenya as our bowlers have prevented test nations from achieving that in majority cases in the last year or so.

My target would be: not to be complacent. I am affraid of this feelings of BD players. After having a good (considering all the aspects) series against SL, I am afraid that, BD players will become overconfidence and take the Kenyan lightly! This is our nature, after completing a good series, the next one is always horrible!! I wonder when BD has last played two consecutive good series.

The other worrying thing is the individual performance: Shumon and Ashraful, our two prodiguous batsmen, have already performed well in this series...........so, apparently it seems that they would do worse in the coming series against Kenya....... Here my worries are: without their performance, I cant see the third one in the team who can assure us a win!

I wish and hope BD will shrugg off these complacency, play their natural game and make the series result in favor of us.
Good luck, Tigers!

The Test series against Zim after the ODI series against India

I won't say BD team has done too good in the Test series against SL, they ought to do better in the next series.

This is a no-brainer. We have to win at least 3 out of four ODIs. If we do win the first three (which I fully expect), we can experiment in the fourth. From example, bring in the likes of Rahim and other potentials, under acheivers, unluckies and victims of bad umpiring. In this I do not measn that Rahim is an under acheiver. Simply that he should not be rush into a level where he clearly does not belong. One day he will delight us all in the highst level of cricket but it is still a few years away. Patience is a virtue.

We must win 4-0.

My greatest concern is that our boys are not yet 'true professionals'.

Bashar is trying to sound professional, but the last line just ruined it.

Yeah...Bashar is souding too confident.....

If Bd looses 1 match also against Ken no matter win the series...Bashar shld be punished for that....he is the captain..he is taking Ken lightly, other players will also take....

Are you sure Bashar did not give the interview in Bangla and the DS reporter made a bad translation? I have seen a bangla newspaper report mentioning Shaikh "Abdur Rahman was Brought to Dhaka in a Toyota Nissan car "

I think our tigers will perform well against the Kenyans, cause Kenya wasn't playing that good against Zimbabwe. If we can score 200+ against Srilanka, then we can surely score 250+ against Kenya, which will be a challenging score for Kenya.

I think most of us are afraid of one thing and one thing only - complacency (sp). We were complacent in the world cup match against Kenya and we paid a heavy price in front of a world audience (the last we needed).

This time, we should be very professional, go in with a plan (get Steve out), and commit to not throw away our wickets - our biggest weakness. This series is ours to win (4-0). Anything less would be a dissapointment and fuel more negative comments from our 'friends'.

Getting Kennedy Otieno cheaply should be also a priority, he scored more runs against us than Tikolo did.

I hope the players know this is a great chance for them to improve there stats by increasing there average and Aggerate of runs scored.

Ashraful should try to get as close to getting 1500 runs as possible, Bashar and Pilot should be able to get up to 1700. Plus this will be a great way for Rajib to start of his ODI carrer, Unlike the Start of his Test carrer. And for Rasel to continue his good start, and Mashrafe and Rafiqueto continue pileing up the wickets.

Of course the main goal is 4-0
