Weather - next few days. Is a draw possible ?
A new target for Bangladesh. If more than a day and a half is lost , can Bangladesh draw the match ?
According to BBC Weather , heavy showers can be expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
So will Australia declare tomorrow after going hell for leather ?

A washout is entirely possible. It has started to Rain in Dhaka too and it appears this is gonna continue at least another day or two.
How sad .... cos I was loking forward to see some good cricket from the boys.

Draw is possible if we can bowl the Aussies out cheaply and occupy the crease long enough to post a decent total...Yeah I'm probably stating the obvious but what has to be done needs to be done if we're gonna avoid heavy defeat, with or without the help of nature.

I want our boys try hard to make it a draw. If weather dominates cricket and that ends in a draw its not good for anyone including Bangladesh.
I don't want a rain affected draw, rather I would prefer a fighting defeat.

I agree with you there Miraz. Bd should try to earn the draw by playing well and not depending on bad weather to save the match.

We don't want anymore rain because we dont have a test match in next one year so lets play our best in this test. if we can draw by playing good cricket then thats wonderful.

There is nothing honorable in a rain soaked draw.

Exactly. I'd rather lose a game than fall back on a draw due to bad weather.

I want to see our boys in action, too. But..considering the fact that we have given Aussies a tough time in Dhaka and our collapse in the first innings of CTG test...I can't decide whether I should be accepting two days of rain or two sessions of our dismal batting and an innings defeat. I don't want to finish this test badly for the sake of having a good morale for the upcoming ODIs.

So then why don't we pray for no rain, and then aim to bat it out for the remaining one and a half days (which of course won't happen).

There is so much pontificating going on about not being an honourable draw if it was rain affected. Yet many in this forum felt perfectly ok arguing about Ponting when they very well knew that Aftab was out.
I think rain can bring about an excellent "test" for Bangladesh. Say, Australia bat another 2 hours [ I feel they might declare after Hussey's century ]. Declare at lunch, with a lead, say, of 260.
I do not think Bangladesh can hold out for 5 sessions. However, if one or two sessions were rain affected - it could be a tense finish - and certainly a true "test" for Bangladesh whether they could draw a match under pressure.

Trust me even with bad weather we won't get anything but loose the game. Horrible bowling by bd bowlers.

australia will need just one day to wrap up this match. Looks like they might just get it.
