Default ODI Series: Most Valuable Player of BD

We have been talking about Ash, Bash, SN, Rafiq, Aftab, Mash, Rassel and all the players in different threads. Here is a question that needs a well-thought answer.

Who will be the Most Valuable Player of Bangladesh in the ODI series against Australia?

Lets use the classic point method of 1 per run, 10 per wicket & 5 per catch/stumping and we can compare our prediction at the end of the series.

There are no deserve to be a valueable ODI player in Bangladesh. All of them head are cracked. They don't know what to do when they get batting. I would not pick any of them at all.

To me, taking five wickets and scoring a century should be given same amount of credit, thus every wicket should be given 20 points.

I also think every catches should be given 10 pts, thus taking five catches will worth scoring fifty, which I think is a very fair grading.

Normally I'd pick Ashraful but after his recent failure I'm forced to think otherwise. Shahriar Nafees, Rajin Saleh, Md Rafique, etc are in good touch but it's SN who I believe can make a big difference if he continues his brilliant form.

Ashraful has a lot to prove / make up for from the Test series. So I vote him.

i was tempted to give ash the vote but decided for Rajin.
here is the ash runs in 3 odi folows: 51, 2, 7=60/3= avg: 20 very bad for ash..i hope he will not do this way..
here is the aftab runs if he plays 1st down: 23 (15 balls), 15 (10 balls), 17 (16 balls)...but if he plays at 6th pos. he will score at an avg of 45..then he could be valuable player

In ODI, i guess, as the bowlers are constrained to bowl only 10 overs I think 4 wkts should be considered equivalent to a 100, that means 25 points for each wkt (if i am not wrong then espn-star super selector used the same criteria). Other than that I agree with ur view. May be some bonus points can be awarded for getting four wkts, and scoring a fifty or hundred.

Interesting !

I voted for Rafique simply because day-in , day-out he is Bangladesh's best overall player not just with the ball but an explosive contributor also with the bat !

Many people are asking for ***hraful's head, but he leads the poll as I write !

My second MVP would be Aftab.

Rafique has actually proved yesterday that you can't really always judge a player by number of runs scored or wickets taken.

Although I voted for Rafique, I've a feeling if A$$raf00l is not dropped he will have a huge innings. It's about time for him. And then we'll stuck with him for another period of time of bad innings.

I voted for Captain just now... I think he hold the key...he must bat well as hold on one end...two others need to fire from other end.
