LG Shine Titanium Black. The look says it all.
Nokia n800. Excellent features.
iPhone has got it all but not sure if I will be able to get it.
And anyone of the Sony Ericsson cell phones.

Off course it will take me probably another 8 to 9 years to get my first cell phone.
That's a good list. Go for iPhone And it wont take you that long to get a hand on a cell, you'll need it very soon. Cell phones, like cars, arent a luxury anymore, almost everyone needs it on a daily basis.

iPhone works with only AT&T wireless.

You have to get the 59.99 dollar plan plus 20 dollar data plan to get the iphone. Antything less, you will not get the phone.

59.99 plan will give you 1000 minutes, I guess. And you have to get the 2 yr contract.

iphone is cheap now. it will cost you only around 400 dollars for the 8gb one.

Here's mine:

Extremely happy with it. There is software for pretty much everything that I can think of. The dataplan works great, I can even be on our BC irc chatroom and forum during match time while on road

Its great. You can have an unlocked version as well which works with other networks now, minus the voice mail trickery, that is network specific ( AT&T ) . I think the 16GB is out already if you need more memory.

Thanks for the info Muradnyc and Beamer Bhai.

I am already with AT&T and mine costs more than 59.99. so do I have to get that +20 for data plan only? or i have to get a new plan all together... my old contract is not done yet

You have to add the data plan. Check with the provider though about needing a new plan . You can always bargain with them. Trust me on that.

I used to have a Sony Ericsson K608i in Dhaka which I had for a long time and I damaged it real bad so when I came to London I needed a new phone urgently for job purposes so I got the Motorola L6 which is crap! I am a real photography enthusiast and L6 didnt meet my needs so I got a Sony Ericsson K800i a week ago which I think is fantastic and perfect for my lifestyle

Just bought a Samsung JACK last week...didnt' arrive yet. Problem with me is that, I have a hole in my hand, and always manage to drop my phone. My last phone LG 2000 (I know, it's crap) dropped from my hand over a thousand times. And still it's fine. If the same thing happened with Razr, I would've bought about 10 phones by now.

I might just end up giving this to my dad. He always complains about not having a good phone

Quick question, does anyone know if Samsung JACk can be unlocked (it's currently locked to Fido only) and used in Bangladesh? It supports the following: Quad band GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz).

Kabir, you will enjoy the BB. I just got the 8830 world edition (dual CDMA/GSM ), after my old phone did not make it through the wash and dry cycle.

Lol...did it wash properly tho?

That phone looks amazing.

My observation after using a friend's Blackberry.

Good: The scroll ball (in fact, that's AMAZING)
Bad: The keyboard (when using cell phone, we're on phone mode; when using keyboard, we're on keyboard mode; i don't know if they mix that well)

yameen, I was very close on getting a N95 8GB this weekend... until someone told me iphone is hitting the canadian market very soon....

how would you rate your n95. Nokia is always the superior... but how do you like it overall. Iphones sdk has been made opensource (or whatever they call it) and ppl are saying there will be a lot of cool applications (like installing skype in ur iphone). I put my n95 purchase on a hold for now and wondering if I should eventually dive into the iphone mania....

I would rate n95 highly from my experience, advantages including a 5M pixel camera producing excellent quality pics n also video compared to the Iphone which only has 2M pixel camera but depends how u want to make use of your phone. From my usage of the n95, I have found it very easy to use making most of all the features including wifi, GPS, downloading You tube vids, access any webpage through the wifi connection etc. but many have said they have found it very difficult to use and navigate around but I guess it depends on how technological minded you are.. It also benefits as you know from a huge internal 8GB memory storage instead of having to insert any memory card.

Iphone is a very classy device but the let down for me was its camera capabilities but these things differ from person to person. The appilications are very similar within these 2 phones. The downpoint for me with the n95 as you may have encountered is that its a bit chunky unlike the sleek iphone fit in your pocket; iphone also has a better interface in my opinion.

You may also want to consider maintainance as in the unlikely event of any faults, a Nokia dealer is always accessible anywhere in the world but with the Iphone I have heard it can be quite a hassle to get it repaired as you have to send it to china? Im not to sure though, but n95 8gb did it for purely because Nokia specialise in making phones as the iphone was a bit of a risk for me..

Hope thats helped you a bit..

Its been a couple months on LG 8700 Shine (flip) for me... anyone using it ? If you're going to get it, make sure you get a protective case/cover for it.
