Default What do you think about these people!!!

I mean some Middle easterns. Man they s***!!! I mean, I read in a newspaper few days back, a bangalee good girl pakistani citizen born in Saudi Arabia, got raped by a Saudi Shaikh and when the shaikh left he warned her that if she goes to security, he will make her parents leave the kingdom. She went anyway to the officials, and they did the obvious thing. They put her in the jail and she stayed in the jail for 6 MONTHS. One member of the security force offered her to spend a night with him, if she want to be released. But she didn't take the chance. Then some pakistani organization made her release. I mean, these type of stories happen often in the Middle east. Any people with families there from third world countries, they do not have proper protection for their young female family members. The middle easterns just kidnaps female of these foreigns of the country and rape them and later, no one finds them, only those people know what they did to those poor girls. The workers in middle east don't have any protection. They don't even get paid regularly. I met a kuwaity guy in my university. He's a foreign student. When he get to know me, his attitude just told me that anyone from south asia is like miskin to them. I never talked to him later. It just goes on and on...and god I am so angry at them.

well my stance against forceful sexual assualt(Rape) has always been the same, simply castrate the culprit. No other punishment is appropriate nor required. He should be taught a lesson so that his "manhood" is lost forever. I feel that people who force themselves on girls ( rape or no rape) are the biggest hskagkdsj in this world and I would love to personally castrate each and every such individual. I hate those F888888 perves. Cant stand them. If you feel horny go to a brothel u A*******

Easy there guys. Now that you have vented, offer some ways how these situation can be remedied. Are there support sites and petitions people can sign up for? What are some of the societal pressures that is causing this?

I know what I am about to say now might and will lead some people to climb on my back and start beating me down but I will tell you what I feel whatever the consequences. First of all there are many reasons for this kind of actions but one the important reason is that according to me this takes place in societies where sex is a taboo word. If you have sex education in school and make it out to be the normal human activity that it is then there will be less curiosity and a different outlook on such issues. Moreover, the people who rape are most probably sexually frustrated and I feel that if you legalize prostitution then rapes and forceful acts will come down by a large extent but not completely. I am not saying allow prostitutes to roam about all over the city, just that the government might legalize prostitution in brothels and allocate specific areas for this purpose or make escorting legal. This way people in a "conservative" society will have a place to "satisfy their demand" without having to rape some girl. However this is just a thought and i know people will voice their concerns against it but I would love to hear your views on how to make sure you dont give "birth" to rapists in a society. If people respect the opposite sex and if sex is not treated like it is in Bangladesh for example then I guess these crimes would become less. However even after this there might be some people who will end up doing this crime and they should be castrated. I would love to see what other people have to say regarding this issue and what kind of solutions they have on offer.

I think I saw a petition on this (or a similar news) a while ago. It's horrific but may I ask what's the source of this news?

A bit disappointed. 45 views but only 6 replies including two from me. I had expected more people to voice their opinions against this sort of a social issue and was eager to see what kind of solutions they have to offer. So many members yet not enough point of views on the possible remedies !!!!

Solution - better law enforcement. People all over the world are the same, the men are same no matter where they are born. If you look at the western coutries, you think all these folks are just nice out of the goodness of their heart or they were born with a halo on top of their head ? No, given the chance, they would do exactly the same things as their counterparts in poorer/less civilized nations of the world. Case in point - what happened at the Silverdome after Hurricane Katrina. When you know that your actions would have consequences and your mama or chacha or baba (even ma, khala, chachi) can't get you out of the mess you are about to create - you do the only sensible thing to do, you stay away from crime.

By the way, not ALL men are alike. They may have the same urges but a good number of them can distinguish between good/bad, right/wrong, without the help of society looking over their shoulders.

Education - While sex education may work in an open society, you have to still respect the culture and religion of folks who would FOREVER consider them as taboo. You can't really change their minds on this issue.
ON the other hand, they want to introduce sex education in some parts of the US WAY early and that could only lead to more teen pregnancy (which is a huge problem in here). Instead of saying STOP, you are too young, they take the stance that - oh well, they are going to do it anyways. People are taking less and less responsibility for their own actions (or inactions) in this country which is a majjor cause for concern.

Stand up for the victims - In some cases, friends and family members of the rapists/cricminals are well aware (or has a vague idea) of the criminal. They decide to not come forward because - He's blood, or he's family, or BACHCHA MANUSH, bhul hoye geche (you get the point). It could be a little thing like shoplifting or a big crime like rape/murder. You can't really teach people to be good people. For me, those who hide these people are as guilty as the criminal him/herself.

Don't worry shahrier bhai I am just gonna write about this matter and not too many people think about the social issues now a days!

The main problem is the moral degradation. Why today we kill people? Why people do commit serious crimes? Okay forget about the serious crimes just think about the way people behave now a days. Its terrible! I believe you understand what I am trying to say. A good bunch of children becomes a good nation one day - we all know this. So the moral education what they recieve in their early age builds their foundation.

The fate is decided of any human being in their early age. We go to schools and colleges and we go there to learn something. But the main question is what we learn there? We only learn what is what and how to pass the exams. We just get the things by heart and just write it in the exam hall. So by so doing do we do any good to us? Not at all. Today if we look at our education system then we can find the same story is going on in most of the places. So why this education system? Iam talking about our country. Why we have gone morally so down today? Why we have no respect for each other? Why we always tyr to dominate over another person so often? There is a big question mark, and we need to find a way to answer this question.

I truly believe morality grows in a person when he/she goes to the school and it grows in a great extent when he/she finishes his schooling. I am taking the schools into consideration because this is the place where we learn all kinds of manner, we understand each other while studying in the acadamy. After finishing the schooling there are little things to learn about manner or morality. Yes true, there is no limit of learning but everything has a certain level and I am talking about this level. When we finish the schooling then we expect that those people coming from the schools and colleges would be morally good. But in fact whats is happening today? We see bad people knocking in the door, lack of respect for elders, unbalanced society.

If I continue then there are lots to write but I have just mentioned one source of the problem. I will write more about this very soon.

whats there to say except that many arabs are beasts...but then again so are most muslims and humans in general.

so you might not rape, but we [edit] ppl's rights all the time. and we turn a blind eye to it. like the arab proverb says "you point out the twig in someone's eye, but cannot see the log in your own."

btw, what is a bangalee pakistani girl? half and half? or is trying to say it happens to bangali and paki girls?

The above story is true and they do happen but you are exageratting a bit in the above para.

The problem is law enforcement in most parts of the Middle east is selective, just as it is selective in Pakistan and Bangladesh. A Pakistani schoolgirl was raped a few years back in Abu Dhabi and the offenders (Arabs) were executed . Then again in a few cases no punishment takes place. The most susceptible are housemaids and they are the victims of 97% of rapes.
However, lets not forget that if a rapist is the son of a high profile BNP leader, he will very likely not be punished/charged.
Canada, USA etc. are particularly strong in enforcement of laws against rape and sexual violence.

i was in Jeddah, saudi arabia for 5 years. My dad used to work there and soon he understood this is not the place to raise his children. The place is blessed by our Prophets and Almight Allah. IF they haven't had those oil, they would have been even poor than us. NO education, social value nothing.

Ending with one story: The apartment we used to live was owned by Yemani Saudi national. As usual he was filthy rich and had 4 wives. They used to live on the top floor. So if i had to go to terrace i always had to go through their flat. And our TV outdoor antenna was there. i was only 12 years of age that time and i dont' know why i used feel a sheer attraction to go there and fix my antenna for no reason. It's about those wives. Each of them were Angel from the sky. You might think Arabs are very conservative and wears borkha while they go out. Well, it's true but inside home, they are the most modern with short dresses. Among the 4 wives, the youngest was the prettiest and somewhat with good nature. She used to give me chocolates and cokes, often tried to talk to me in Arab. I still remember those green eyes. I could feel her love towards me was like a little brother whom she wanted to share her untold story but i couldn't never speak to her.
But oneday, as usual, i went up to fix my antenna(.?.) and what i saw had really stunned my little mind. I discovered her limping, blooded and swelled up face sitting and watching TV. There was no effort to wipe her blood out and she should have been in the hospital. Even in that situation, she gave me chocolates. That was the last day i had ever been to fix antenna. I could still remember her green eyes.

AFter so many years, when i sit back and think about her and wonder, what actually happened to her?
It was her husband who did that to her and it was an usual practise for them. In that man oriented country, there is no justice for woman.

RASUL-ALLAH (SA) is for all, and you generalizing Arabs huh? remember the Arabs themselves dislike these new bonedi (third class amir) group, and also keep in mind of a Saudi hero who could have passed out his life a rich doctor but no he went to Iraq and slowed down the firingi advance with his own life, yes suicide might be not a good idea, but in my opinion he did not hurt any innocent civilian and his intention was to slow down the firingis in their path of bloody conquests, just imagine what would have happened if the Arabs/Iraqis would not put up this resistance with all their existence, you and I and those who are living BD would be reminded of the good old imperial days by this time ... so do not blame all the Arabs for the crimes of few, and also do not blame all the americans for the crime of imperial bush.

Listen I am not exageratting. My mom's friend sent her daughter back from Saudi Arabia, she is studying in Dhaka Medical College. These countries are not safe for foreign young females. That is why, anyone from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh, they sent back their daughters when they are grown. It is a very common thing.

You are talking from what you have heard from others. I am speaking from my experience of living here for 20+ years. Now I do know Saudi is a bit more lawless than the UAE.

So speaking of the UAE, plenty of grown up girls from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh who live with their parents in the UAE.

The reason many girls(and boys) go back is because there are no universities for foreigners in Saudi Arabia.

Have you noticed that Arabs may think of you in the same line as you think of them???

its easy to say, arabs are perverts, rapists and what not, but we bangladeshis are no angels either. we have corruption, lawlessness (probably the worst case in the world) to name a few.

Its easy to blame a particular group and show them their faults but not easy to acknowledge the faults of your own type.

By the way, the rape described above happens in places like remote indian villages where people are neither Arabs nor have any links with them. So does that make indians generally perverts?

Generalisation isnt good because no two people in a population isnt the same and each individual character dont represent the characteristics of vast majority of people.

By the way, I am not defending those Arabs who employ children as jockeys, rape housemaids, beat up their wives. They are no doubt most horrendouse of creatures that walked this earth, using our peaceful religion as sheilds against their perverted nature. But what I meant was actions of those Arabs dont reflect the actions of majority of Arabs, who just like us wants to enjoy life.

Well said. Its human tendency to generalise
Dear Abd, do you know that last year 5 bengalis in the UAE pushed a bangladeshi girl from a building because she refused to work as a prostitute. She is now paralized for life.

It wasnt Arabs who did it. It was your fellow Bangladeshis.

So dont generalise

You are right Abd....My parents has tons of friends who sent back their daughter from saudi, kuwait to BD when they are grown up. I don't know abt other arab countries but saudi and kuwait obvioulsy not a good place to live with your pretty wife or daughter. Go there as pilgrim or to earn money for few years.
Those of you who haven't been to Saudi/kuwait,plz don't remark by not knowing. UAE and rest of the arab nations are a heaven compare to these two countries.

And yes, those of you who wants to see the real arabs in Bangkok, feel free to contact me.
