it's like india who are producing too many batsman and we have sla. I will say bcz of sla trend in bangladesh, we are not getting any more good leg spinner, fast bowler ar even pacer allrounder.
Now it's really become burden to us.

We shouldn't play more than 1 left arm spinner. We should find a good off-spinner or play leg-spinner Munna. He will struggle in the beginning but he will get better.

I do not think having too many quality SLAs is a burden, it is our strength. We are a formidable ODI bowling unit because of our SLA strength. If we have another capable SLA in Test (0.75 eq of Shakib), it would be very difficult for any team to pile up runs against us at home.

A good spinner is a good spinner regardless of his style of bowling. A quality SLA is definitely better than an ordinary leggie or offie. I do not think our SLA strength is preventing anyone to become a quality leggie or offie. A leggie or offie who bowls right-handed is very unlikely to change bowling arm to become SLA.

And each SLA's are different than the others. Good bowlers can not be a burden.

Some teams have several Right Arm fast. Is that a burden to those teams? no. As long as they can get wickets everything else becomes immaterial.

Agree...jodi among them we could have get more LMF or LF ..as they are already SLAs hopefully some of them can be transfored into as fast...i guess it's easier to say but hard to do..few days ago Zaheer Khan mentioned something about Ind bowlers...I guess our body structure is not built to be fast bowlers...Pathan Shaheb ra Koi Shob...

Miraz's post is SLA vs Other spinners. My following post will be SLA vs Fast bowlers.

Besides Shakib, we don't have a decent spinner. But yet we are still stuffing our XI with mediocre spinners slash ALRs. Good batsmen will easily kill them. We are just convincing ourselves saying SLA is our strength.

Take a close look at India. They used their fast bowlers to take the shine off of the ball. Look where it got them. If we want to become a decent side, and start winning games away, we'll have to have good fast bowlers. We have to encourage and welcome them and stop stuffing the team with SLA.

There is a good reason why good teams have 3-5 good fast bowlers in their squad, and couple of good spinners. And that didn't/doesn't mean their spin dep. sucked. Aus, Pak are a good example of that. They structured their bowling attack around fast bowlers. And still managed to keep 2-3 good spinner around. Heck, besides Murali, and Kumble, most of the legendary spinners came from Pak and Aus. Yet, they are known for fast bowling. We are here nor there.

I have 3 questions:
1.why do we have so many SLA?
2.Why most of our top order are left handed?
3.Why our top order are too much vulnerable against left arm pace bowlers?
