I didnt think we are using Es in the grading (A, B, C, D with +/- and a big fat F for Failing!) I just refrained myself from handing the F over to Ash, simply because he managed a few runs with a couple of boundaries, and didn't get out for a single-digit score.

SN - A+ (He showed he also does not care about runs)
Ash - A (Could get an A+; but those 18 valuable runs! Better than his career average as opener)
Aftab - C (Could be a D, if scored few more runs)
Bashar - A++ (One extra plus for the bowling decision after the toss, may be this + should be shared with whatmore)
Sakib - D (Just OK; not in the hype of a 'talent')
Farhad - D (Most impressive innings)
Pilot - A (His keeping helped him not getting an A+)
Rafique - C (The old silent man.)
Razzak - C+ (OK with his limitation)
Rasel - A (He started with an aim of A+; just missed it because of some good bowling at the death)
Mashrafee - C (Poor bowling at the death as usual; battingwise nothing he could do in fact)
Note: I tried to follow the basic of German grading style. A higher grade is a lower performance!

I would give Ash and Aftab "D" for the way they got out.
Soft, unnecessary dismissal that was a pain to watch...
The ball Ash got out, should have been a 4 instead.. he simply undid all the hard work he was trying to build up to make a big score... surely out of form..no doubt about it...
And there is Aftab...
I think he should be kicked out before anybody in the team...
what we see everyday is a quickfire 30-40 runs in less number of balls and get out in an useless shot...
atleast from yesterday's match, he still have a tendency to go after every ball...
and certainly the scoresheet doesnt do any good to his credit...
he should have, by now, learnt how to carry a big innings...
Superb played by Sakib, and Reza (though bowling a bit under par)...

tought graders!i would not be that harsh on sumon.he has just returned from an injury and that was probably working at the back of his mind today while batting.i havent seen him fending a short delivery instead of pulling/hooking too many times before.hopefully,he will do well in the next game.

Syd,
you are harsh on aftab. It is becoming irritating to see aftab getting out after quickfire 30. But at least he is delivering 30. In yesterday's case he was the only one scoring. Ash was out in a ball that was begging to be hit for 4. Sakib had no clue on Malinga. I think he was 2 out of 16 balls. If you are chasing 300 + then Aftab as the batsman who was middling should do, what he did. Go after evry ball. unfortunately his plan failed.
So to me Ash got a D- while aftab is C. My grading is same as HB.

Yeah - tough graders! With all these below B grades, how did we score 265 - (our third highest?)?
It is like hiring instructors from Harvard to give and grade exams @ Tolaram college!

Well said, bro. Pondit moshai der jala te more gelam! It's a defeat where I did not feel humiliated. Good job, Bangladesh. Now aim high and feel proud to do even better with WI. Good luck BD.

I agree with the grades by Miraz with an addition of "-" to Aftab and Farhad (that means both will get B-)
