Mistakes made so far in this touranment by everybody are -
Scenario: BD beating Zim (stronger Zim with Streak in it), BD beating Ind, BD beating (weaker) Zim in a series, BD beating Aus, BD beating SL
Players: Too overconfident on the field
Coach: letting Ashraful open
Selector: Picking too many youngsters resulting in inexperience
Bad Luck: Injury - Nazmul, Tapash getting injured, Form - Nafees Iqbal, Javed Omar and all the established experienced players losing form (Bash, Ash, Rajin etc.)

In addition,
Result: loss to series vs. Zim in Zim
Lone Consolation: Win series in Ken
Finally: Loss to WI today.

Other misses:
Poorfan not being in the list
Dr. Z having surgery
Fazal losing sense of humor
Babubangla having a baby
Dubya funding NK for nuke
Foley being overly friendly
Whatmore losing the topless charm
Manager looking like a neck-tied dumpty
Last and the least: not finding proper misses
Couldn't resist the temptation. Take it easy!

The main factor is: BD has Ash, Bash and Pat (Pilot). They are making a horrible combination...if they work together...all the result will be the same.

I posted in another thread too...but I guess I can say it again.
Bashar's batting performance in CT -
0 (2) SL
0 (1) WI
may be 0 (0) Zim?
By the way, he is our captain.Need to say anything more??

YOu must be joking. Most of your claims seem to be wrong.
# Players were not even confident, let alone over confident.
# Letting Ashraful open is a debatable issue. He was not doing well in other positions, either.
# What did the 'experienced' bunch of players do that you are criticizing the inclusion of young players?
# If you call absense of Nazmul as a bad luck, then let me play in some of the matches , Tapash? Huh! NI, JO...I am just astonished, you cited their names as a cause to bad luck!
I did not quite understand your scenario description. Do you mean all those wins (even after the recent loss against the weak Zim) did create 'dont care' attitude?

FW is lamenting that we don't have players like Nazmul, Tapash, JO, and NI in the team at this point !!!
OK, it is official- she pretty much lost her mind after seeing BD loosing so many matches.

Don't blame the younger player for lack of experience. Blame the older players for not showing experience.

Okay, here goes my explanation:
Players: overconfident: from SL game + read the papers, especially bengali ones
Selector: young players & their inexperience: they were simply too proud of themselves - creating don't care attitude problem; and if you'd remember, our reasons for beating Aus, SL was that we had performed better against their superior players - like Ashraful playing sensibly (even though only once) vs. McGrath et al, Ashraful playing to his potential for the first time vs. Zim (in Zim vs. Streak bowling), Kapali quickfire innings vs. SL, (with all his experience in both International & domestic cricket - Kapali used it all - helping us beat SL), Rajin's fielding vs. Ind, (and thanks for reminding me -) our selectors', our boards' people's (Raquibul Hassan & others) experience in English conditions (as far as I can remember we played at least 2 ICC trophy tournaments in English conditions) - BD beating Pakistan (forcing Minhazul to be in the team, even after our brave and fighting performance vs. ZIM back in '99 when Mehrab scoring first ODI century) vs. Streak, Strang, Brandes, with Neil Johnson Murray Goodwin still in the team).

I made one mistake: woke up at 4:30 to watch the game
hence I missed a good night sleep for a monoric display of not having common sense, and I'm still sleepy because of that.

wow..fwullah..you have outdid yourself once again. With all due respect with your status as the "first BC member", you rarely make any sense. I am sure you are a nice person but your logic , if any, are always warped. Sorry..
