8th National Cricket League
The 8th National Cricket League starts today. The FC tournament will be held first on a home/away basis to be followed by the List-A tournament.
BC has put up its coverage (go to the series section) and the schedule for the first pahse is up there (courtesy BCB). I am looking for sharp eyed volunteers to help BC keep this updated.
Cheers,
Zunaid

I would think TIGERCRICKET is correct. Their scorecard matches what they posted on the update.

Rajshahi vs Khulna
Dhaka vs Barisal
My guess is batsmen had difficulty playing on wet pitches.
Good to see Rajib can hit. Also, job well done by Khulna and Barisal pacers

Sakib, Razzak, Rasel, Mash, Rana, (BD national team bowling attack) Sadat are from khulna division. Go Khulna go!! Beat the crap out of everyone.

The matches are definitely played in underprepared pitches. Very low scoring match. Shahadat outperformed every other batsman of Dhaka. That shows us the power of slogging.

Wreckers-in-chief: Barisal pacers Sajedul Islam(L) and Ishraq Sonet who ripped through the Dhaka batting sharing eight wickets on Thursday.

Is mushfiqur rahim playing as a batsman only for Rajshahi with Pilot keeping. Then how will he improve his keeping?

Well...Pilot is always doing the keeping.Even he is keeping his post as wicket-keeper of National team even though most of us want to see Rahim having a go.He will try to keep this keeping until the mathamota selectors don't want to keep him anymore.

Khulna team is strong cause the head was from Khulna. BCB should stop this BS and let the team call or draft their players this is ridiculous. When one team don't have one good wk team like khulna got backup wk. Also they got all the players. so why even play just call them champ!!!
NO offense to the Khulna people. I just want the NCL to be competitive.

2nd Day Update
Pacers continue to dominate the NCL.
Barisal got out for 154 runs. Barisal's innings highlight was Sonet's resilent 46 not out. Looks like a summer in Darwin has done Sonet a world of good.
For Dhaka, Sharif took 5 wickets for 50 runs, Shahadat 3 for 43, and Rafique 2 for 28.
Khulna also had batting collapse. Currently they are at 118/9 with Rana (24) and Rasel (0) batting. Rajshahi's Shahajada took 4 wickets for 31 runs, Shafaq 3 for 49, and Mushfiq Babu 2 for 22.
In the other match, Chittagong posted a modest total of 268 in their first innings.
Gazi Salahuddin 48, Aftab 44, Nazimuddin 38, Dhiman 26; Tapash 2/41, Rezaul Haque 2/46, Enamul Jr 2/66, Nazmul and Alok both got 1 wicket.

Don't know if the low scores are a result of underprepared pitches or the fact that our batsmen were playing OD style.

Hmm...seems like I should replace the 'mathamota selector' part of my post and make it 'mathamota me'.Sorry Akabir77 bhai...from now onwards I will be a devoted well-wisher of Pilot...I wish I could change my id to pilot_fan:pNo offence, just kidding...I have accepted that I am 'mathamota', please let me kid.

Dhaka vs Barisal

From SR, it does not seem batsmen are playing in one day mode. From the number of caught behind and lbw wickets in both matches, my guess is batsmen are struggling to get their timing well on grassy pitches.
Bit surprised to see Khulna included Jamal Babu as a specialist batsman (he is banned from bowling by BCB).
