Default Ashraful will play in last 2 ODI's vs Zimbabwe

Yup
The 13 man Squad announced was for the first 3 One dayers only..Just read that in newspaper today morning.. So Its very certain he'll be re-selected in the last 2 Odi's..because one of Tushar,Mehrab,Reza wont do good..I think its gonna be Tushar anyway.
What strikes me most is.. they are just experimenting..if they wanted Ashraful to have a break..why play him in the last 2 Odi's and not first 3? In this way ..they arent giving Ashraful enough chances nor Tushar Imran,Farhad Reza (whoever Ash replaces) enough chances..so ultimately 0 Result !!
* Its certain Ashraful will be back in the last 2 One dayers.

Dont be so certain about it yet. These are the league matches that Ashraful will play before BD team finishes their 3rd ODI vs. Zim.(5th Dec) :

21 - 24 Nov: Rajshahi Division v Dhaka Division
27-30 Nov: Dhaka Division v Sylhet Division
3-6 Dec: Dhaka Division v Khulna Division
Schedule Source

I am sure that Ashraful's performance on the 6 innings he plays in these 3 matches will count a lot for re-considering him in the remaining ODI's. If he performs poorly in these 3 matches... I don't see a good chance for him to be back in the team yet. Winning convincingly against the Zimbabwe team is important for BD at the moment. Board will probably not want to risk that.

BTW... another 'Ash-fool' thread again! Maaan... this guy is lucky!!

This may be an assumption that he will be back on the 4th ODI. Just look, how Faruq is explaining the situation:
Quote:

This omission raised questions about his participating in next year's World Cup because many thought it was funny to sideline a batsman in a comparatively easy home series and then again picked up for the top tournament of the world.
"There is hardly any chance to see Ashraful not going to the World Cup. We hope he will get back his form in the next two games of the National Cricket League and get in contention for the remaining two games as well as the Scotland series," hoped the former national skipper.
When he was asked what would happen if Ashraful failed to shine in the next two domestic matches, Faruque responded with a mysterious smile, perhaps meaning that they would get enough excuses to bring back the batsman.

If we win the first 3 matches, then he may not be called at all.

Crapp... Just when I thought we are getting out of this ashraful crappp.... Whats the point? He will score one blistering 60 and and then he will be under water ( even against kenya) for 12 innings. Contrary to that, didnt Aftab, Shahrier Nafees prove that even if they are stroke players they can still be somewhat consistent? Or even Shahadat, Rasel, Saqib as new comers? its time that we value true talents,, who not only scores once in a blue ( maybe green) moon but also consistently in matches and you can trust him.. Heck I would take it if Ashraful scored every other 3 matches, he didnt, he doesnt, not sure if he will ever do that....I dont think anyone in Bangladesh, even Ashraful himself, can trust Ashraful to score. We just hope against hope that Ashraful has matured and will play his natural game excluding the disgusting consecutive hooks..

Agreed. The problem with us is that, we're too quick to change our decisions. Our selectors need to learn how to have patience. Being impatient will only screw up the team even further.

He should be left out for the entire series, even for the one against Scotland, let reality sink into him before he gets called back.

There is only one criteria for being selected. That is consistent performance. Ash-are-fool has not showed that and, consequently, was rightfully excluded from the team. He has to earn back the spot by a series of prolific performances. Even Gangooly is not getting a callup simply because of his lack of performance in the domestic circuit despite having friends in high places.

Amader desher report'ra aj kal mind read kortey parey. wow!! What if that smile was for an opposite reason. Since they (selectors) talked about putting emphasis on consistant performance to be one of the main selection criteria.

As for protic,
Why do wish BD players to do bad? Don't you support BD team? Don't you want Bd team to play as a team and win with everyone contributing? I hope all three players you mentioned shines.

I think, ASh should not considered for the rest ODI's if he succeded in league matches.Good batting in League matches means he will remain flop for few monthes even!

Ashraful has consistent performance. He always performs and scores below 20. He is consistent on it. Thats why he has been continuously selected and he will be selected for last two ODIs.

Our selectors, as well as fans don't care about the result. What we all care about is, playing with Ashraful.

Who cares if we win 3 matches whether he is back or not. The first match may be the first time for years we have 11 players (oops there is pilot)

Spitty you wage a war againest JO for non-performance, but you have very soft corner for Ash the most non-performing member of the team. Is not it double standard? Or just because he has a tag of 'talented'.
