Haha.. calm down, i havent played heavy rain.. I was just thinking how it might turn out from experience from other same type of games, and that was my opinion

And bioshock 2, I said i liked it cause the trailers looked awesome..

Good, somehow I was getting the feeling that only opinions-that-won't-upset-Hatebreed are allowed in this thread... glad to be told otherwise.

I play games for gameplay more than anything else. From what I've seen in the videos, whatever gameplay there is seems very simplistic. Having a good story is important... but, for a game, IMHO, it's just secondary to the gameplay.

But, like I said, I'll most likely pick it up from the bargain bin... mostly just to enjoy the graphics... but hopefully it will turn out to have an enjoyable story (or stories, I guess) as well.

I only challenged your opinion. If people didn't have opinions we wouldn't have any lively discussions so keep 'em coming.

Fair enough. I play games for a variety of reasons, not just gameplay. Sometimes story takes priority, sometimes gameplay, very rarely graphics. It all depends on the kind of game it is.

Speaking of cheesy/lame games like Fox Hunt... I think we should discuss what games we'd rather not admit to having ever played...

Here's a gem from the good old days of Windows 3.x:

(I'd always get pwned by the second chick, no matter what...)

I play most games cause of gameplay and stories in shooting or action/adventure games.. But I mostly play sports games, so FIFA is a must have for me every year (have a collection of all EA Fifas from 2002-2010, except 2005).. So for that i dont care bout anything just buy it ASAP..

But for a lot of other types of games, I go with who developed/published the game.. For example, Im an EA fan so EA games get my priority.. Im also a rockstar fan cause of GTA's.. But I like to avoid 2k games, their graphics is just like stick figures.. But for everygame, i watch trailers and reviews, and thats the main thing of me buying a game

Me and couple of other mates picked this up for laughs. It was actually hilarious.

That's a joke, right? If not, I find it hard to believe that you don't know what "Engrish" is... considering you are obviously familiar with Japanese gaming culture and all (where you would encounter plenty of "Engrish")...

http://www.engrish.com is a good place to get an idea...

I know what Engrish is professor, I was making fun of it. Having listened to enough Kojima-san interviews I've got the basic hang of it.

Got the Heavy Rain demo early and already played through it like six times. Suffice to say, I loved it! I really can't wait for this game to come out.

For those who want to know how (US PSN accounts):

1) Register at: http://heavyrainps3.com/registration/signup/en_US
2) Login at: http://www.precinct52.com/case1117_briefing
3) Submit this evidence:
* The short cigarette butt from the cigarette butts

Played the HR demo 1.5 times. The "sleazy place" bit is basically Shenmue with advanced graphics (I did get some significantly different scenes the second time around... but whether it was worth a second run-through, I'm not sure). The "crime scene" bit seemed like a drag... doing all that walking around to get little bits of information.

They did say making a demo of this game is difficult since it'd be hard to make it representative of the whole game... but based on this demo, I think I can wait for the bargain bin. *shrug*

Oh my god! battlefield bad company 2 is awesome. I have to pick it up when it gets released. I wonder why EA released the demo for xbox 360 users and pc gamers only though.

360 and PC didn't get the demo first. PS3 got the multiplayer beta way back in November, then PC and 360 got it and then the demo came out for all the platforms.
