Needless to say the BNP leadership is an utter embarrassment and a shame to the Shaheed freedom-fighter, leader and president Ziaur Rahman's spirit, no doubt. There is no end to these shameless acts, crying over housing when you have many, celebrating and cutting cake on a day when the nation/the other party is remembering the dath of the nation's father who also Shaheed Ziaur Rahman himself highly respected, loved, admired and took commands from with BD pride. These sorts of acts are very low and utterly shameful. Vary sad.

This Nazmul Huda guy is not different from other politicians of Bangladesh.He was a very coppered person when he was the minister.But sometimes he tells the truth.In past he have questions his party or party members for justifyable things and was criticised by his party members.Anyway this time he was correct to criticize his party to call the hartal on 14th november but paying otheway.I feel sorry for him.

শুক্রবার সকালে চট্টগ্রাম ড্রাইডকে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে এ দুটি জাহাজ জার্মান প্রতিষ্ঠানের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হবে।

বৃহস্পতিবার নগরীর একটি হোটেলে আয়োজিত সংবাদ সম্মেলনে ওয়েস্টার্ন মেরিন শিপইয়ার্ডের কর্মকর্তারা এ তথ্য জানান।

১৬০ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে নির্মিত জাহাজ দুটি হল- 'এমএস এ্যামারসাম' এবং 'গ্রোনা বিয়েস্সাম'।

বাংলাদেশে নির্মিত পণ্যবাহী জাহাজসমূহের মধ্যে এ দুটি সমুদ্রগামী সর্ববৃহৎ জাহাজ বলে নির্মাতা প্রতিষ্ঠানের কর্মকর্তারা দাবি করেছেন।

জাহাজ হস্তান্তর অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকবেন শিল্পমন্ত্রী দিলীপ বড়�য়া। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে থাকবেন জার্মানির স্টেট সেক্রেটারি অব ফেডারেল ফরেন অফিস মার্টিন বিয়েসেল এবং বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত জার্মানির রাষ্ট্রদূত হোলগার মিশেল।

সংবাদ সম্মেলনে ওয়েস্টার্ন মেরিন শিপইয়ার্ডের চেয়ারম্যান সাইফুল ইসলাম জানান, ১০০ মিটার দীর্ঘ ও ৫ হাজার ২০০ ডিডব্লিউটি আইস ক্লাস মাল্টিপারপাস জাহাজ দুটি জার্মানির গোনা শিপিং লিমিটেডের জন্য নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে।

তিনি বলেন, জাহাজ দুটি আইএমও'র সর্বশেষ নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী নির্মিত হয়েছে, যা হিমশীতল ও প্রতিকূল পরিবেশে চলাচলে সক্ষম।

ওয়েস্টার্ন মেরিন জার্মানির গোনা শিপিংয়ের জন্য আরও ১০ টি একই ধরণের জাহাজ নির্মাণ করছে বলে সাইফুল ইসলাম জানালেন।

সংবাদ সম্মেলনে অন্যান্যের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, ওয়েস্টার্ন মেরিনের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক শাখাওয়াত হোসেন, জার্মানির গোনা শিপিংয়ের মার্কু ভেডর প্রমুখ।

প্রতিষ্ঠানের কর্মকর্তারা জানান, জাহাজ দুটি নির্মাণে প্রায় তিনহাজার মেট্রিকটন আইসক্লাস স্টিল ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে। জাহাজের মরিচা প্রতিরোধ ও সৌন্দর্য বর্ধনে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে ২৪ হাজার লিটার সিগমা পেইন্ট।

২০০৯ সালে জাহাজ দুটির নির্মাণ কাজ শুরু হয়। নির্মাণকাজ সম্পন্ন হতে লাগে ১০ লাখ কর্মঘন্টা। এ বছরের ১৫ নভেম্বর জাহাজ দুটির সফল সি ট্রায়াল সম্পন্ন হয়।

প্রতিটি জাহাজের কার্গো ধারণক্ষমতা ৫ হাজার ২০০ টন।
