BB doesn't support Unicode? I had one but can't recall.

@Z: Have you installed the right fonts yet? If not, you can do so from the Avro website for free and then try Nasif's solution to the letter.

I went HERE and downloaded/installed Rupali and Mitra Mono. Then followed Nasif's directions, simple.

After installing Windows 7 in my new office PC and downloading the latest Avro 5.1 while using Firefox 4, I was facing problem reading Bangla Font on my PC.

Google took me to omicronlab support forum and I found the solution.

1. Go to Tools>Options>Content
2. Click on "Advanced" under default fonts and color option
3. Select-

Fonts For = Bengali
Proportional = Serif
Serif = Siyam Rupali
Sans Serif = Siyam Rupali
Monospace = None

4. Restart Firefox

Problems will be solved.

I thought I post the solution up here in case some of you facing the same problem, specially if you are an average computer user like me.

Thanks. Just to add to it...one needs to reboot the computer as restarting firefox may not apply the settings.

Thanks nasif bhai, was looking for that but omicron website is down.

p.s: And now that I installed it, all my BC bangla formatting is also so much nicer. Many thanks. The BC font was also being displayed as the default 'gol-gappa'/rounded until the font install.
