ঢাকা, ১৫ মার্চ (বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকম) - ভাঙ্গাচোরা একটা দল নিয়েও চির প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী মোহামেডানের বিপক্ষে ৭ বল বাকি থাকতেই ৫ উইকেটের জয়! আবাহনী অধিনায়ক মাশরাফি বিন মর্তুজা জানাচ্ছেন, কোনোমতে একাদশ সাজিয়ে নামলেও উজ্জ্বীবনী শক্তির অভাব ছিল না তার দলের, "হেরে গেলে সবাই বলতো, খেলোয়াড় নেই তাই এই অবস্থা। কিন্তু এই দল নিয়ে জিতলে দারুণ এক কৃতিত্বের ব্যাপারই হয়, এটাই সবাইকে বারবার বলছিলাম।" তাতে কাজও হয়েছে বেশ। ইনজুরি এবং অসুস্থ্যতায় পেস অ্যাটাক প্রায় শুন্য হয়ে পড়লেও স্পিনারদের ওপর রাখা আস্থার প্রতিদান তিনি নগদেই বুঝে পেয়েছেন। আর পিঠের ব্যথায় কাতর হয়ে থাকলেও একাদশ ভরানোর জন্য নামা অধিনায়ক নিজেও অফস্পিনারের ভূমিকায় দারুণ সফল। সেই সঙ্গে সনাত জয়াসুরিয়ার সঙ্গে লড়াইয়ে বিজয়ীর নামও মাশরাফিই। দুয়েমিলে ৪৭.৪ ওভারে ১৯৮ রানে মোহামেডানকে শেষ করে দেওয়ার পর রান চেজিংয়ের শেষদিকে যদিও লড়াই জমে ওঠার একটা ইঙ্গিত ছিল। জেতার জন্য মোহামেডানের ১৮ বলে ১৭ কিংবা ১২ বলে ১১ রানের সমীকরণ দেখে যে কারো এমন মনে হলেও একদমই হচ্ছে না মাশরাফির, "কিসের লড়াই! শেষদিকে একটুও চাপে ছিলাম না আমরা। যদি সাত-আটটা উইকেট পড়ে যেত, তাহলে হয়তো চাপে থাকতাম। কিন্তু আমাদের হাতে ছিল পাঁচ উইকেট।" অপরাজিত ৪১ রানের ইনিংস খেলে সগীর হোসেন পাভেল দলকে জয়ের তীরে নিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় উইকেটে ছিলেন আবাহনী অধিনায়কও (১১*)। সগীরের চেয়ে বড় ইনিংস ম্যাচে আরো তিনজন খেলেছেন বটে, তবে এর আগে উইকেটের পেছনে দু'দুটো ক্যাচ আর একটা স্টাম্পিং ম্যাচ রেফারি রকিবুল হাসানের বিবেচনায় ম্যাচ সেরার পুরস্কার এনে দিয়েছে এই উইকেটকিপার ব্যাটসম্যানকে। দশম ম্যাচে নবম জয় দিয়ে প্রিমিয়ার ক্রিকেট লিগের পয়েন্ট টেবিলে নিজেদের শীর্ষস্থান আরো সুসংহত করলো বর্তমান চ্যাম্পিয়নরা (১৮ পয়েন্ট)। তবে স্মরণকালের দূর্বলতম আবাহনীকে সামনে পেয়েও হার মানা মোহামেডানের (১০ ম্যাচে ১১ পয়েন্ট) সুপার লিগ তাই এখনো নিশ্চিত নয়। সেজন্য ১৭ মার্চ নারায়ণগঞ্জের ফতুল্লায় গাজী ট্যাঙ্ক ক্রিকেটার্সের বিপক্ষে তাদের জয়ের বিকল্প নেই। যদিও রোববার মিরপুর শেরেবাংলা জাতীয় স্টেডিয়ামে টস জিতে ব্যাটিংয়ে নামা মোহামেডানের শুরুটা বেশ আশাব্যঞ্জকই ছিল। বিশেষ করে আগের দুই ম্যাচে মাত্র ৯ ও ২ রান করা জয়াসুরিয়া ঝড় দেখার ইঙ্গিতই পাওয়া যাচ্ছিল। দু'দুটো ছক্কা গ্যালারিতে নিয়ে ফেলা এই শ্রীলঙ্কান তারকা নাদিমউদ্দিন মিন্টুকে (২২) নিয়ে ৬৭ রানের ওপেনিং পার্টনারশিপ গড়ার পর তাদের বড় সংগ্রহের স্বপ্ন দেখা অবান্তর ছিল না। এই অবস্থায় ইনিংসের চতুর্দশ ওভারে বল হাতে নেওয়া মাশরাফি ভাঙ্গেন এই জুটি। নিজের তৃতীয় বলেই জয়াসুরিয়া (৪০ বলে ৪২) তার শিকার। অবশ্য সেটি মারার বলই ছিল। তবে মাশরাফির লংহপে সর্বশক্তি দিয়ে পুল করা জয়াসুরিয়াকে মিডউইকেটে দুর্দান্ত এক ক্যাচ বানিয়েছেন রনি তালুকদার। ততোক্ষণে 'মাতারা হারিকেন' এর ইনিংসটা আরো বড় যে হয়নি, সেই কৃতিত্বটা মাশরাফি দিয়ে দিচ্ছেন এদিন আবাহনীর একমাত্র পেসার শাহাদাত হোসেনের (জাতীয় দলের পেসার শাহাদাত নন) সঙ্গে বোলিং ওপেন করা অফস্পিনার নাসির হোসেনকে, "নাসিরের নতুন বলে বল করার কথা ছিল না। আমি হয়তো আরাফাতকে (সানি) দিয়ে করাতাম। কিন্তু ও এসে 'আমি রান আটকাচ্ছি' বলে বল চেয়ে নিল। এবং প্রথম পাওয়ার প্লেতে জয়াসুরিয়া ওকে একটা চারও মারতে পারেনি।" মোহামেডানেরও যে ইনজুরি সমস্যা ছিল না, তা নয়। কুঁচকির ব্যথায় ওপেনার নাসিরুদ্দিন ফারুক এবং জন্ডিসের জন্য চলতি প্রিমিয়ারে দলের সফলতম ব্যাটসম্যান শামসুর রহমান শুভ'ও খেলেননি। শুভ'র জায়গায় এই লিগে প্রথম খেলতে নামেন মাত্রই জন্ডিস থেকে সেরে ওঠা ফরহাদ হোসেন। তিনি ৪৭ রান না করলে এবং চতুর্থ উইকেটে মার্শাল আইয়ুবকে (২৭) নিয়ে ৬২ রানের পার্টনারশিপ না গড়লে মোহামেডান দুইশোর কাছাকাছি যেতে পারতো কিনা সন্দেহ ছিল। মাঝে আবার রানআউট হয়ে দলের বিপদ বাঁড়িয়ে গেছেন রকিবুল হাসান (০)। জাতীয় দলের এই ব্যাটসম্যানের পাশাপাশি ফরহাদও রানআউট হয়েছেন নাসিরের ডিরেক্ট থ্রো'তে। একরকম নিজেদের দোষেই রানআউট হয়েছেন এই দু'জন। ব্যাট প্লেস করলেই বিপদ এড়ানো সম্ভব, অথচ তাদের আউট হওয়ার ধরন দেখে সাজঘরে জয়াসুরিয়া বেশ উষ্মা প্রকাশ করেছেন বলেও জানিয়ে গেলেন এক কর্মকর্তা, "প্রতি ম্যাচেই একাধিক রানআউটের ঘটনা ঘটছে। সনাতের প্রশ্ন, এভাবে রানআউট হওয়ার কী মানে!" অবশ্য ওই দুই ব্যাটসম্যানের দোষে নাসিরের কৃতিত্ব কমে যাচ্ছে না। মোহামেডান অধিনায়ক সোহরাওয়ার্দী শুভ'কে স্টাম্পিংয়ের ফাঁদে ফেলা এই অফস্পিনার তার ৮ ওভারে খরচ করেছেন মাত্র ২২ রান। ম্যাচের সফলতম অবশ্য আরাফাত সানি। এই বাঁ হাতি স্পিনার ৪৩ রানে নিয়েছেন ৩ উইকেট। প্রিমিয়ারে প্রথমবারের মতো অফস্পিন করে ৩৫ রানে ২ উইকেট নেওয়া মাশরাফি আলাদা করে বললেন জন্ডিস নিয়ে খেলতে নামা ইমরান আহমেদের কথাও, "আমাদের স্পিনাররা আজ অসাধারণ বোলিং করেছে। ইমরান ভাই যেমন হাত ঘুরিয়ে অল্প কিছু রান দিয়েছেন।" ৪১ রানে ২ উইকেট হারানোর পর উড়িষ্যা থেকে উঁড়িয়ে আনা রেশমি রঞ্জন পারিতাকে (৪৬) নিয়ে তৃতীয় উইকেটে ৭৪ রানের পার্টনারশিপ গড়ে আবাহনীর জয়ের পথও প্রশস্ত করেছেন ইমরান (৩৮)। সোহরাওয়ার্দীর বলে রকিবুল ২০ রানে দাঁড়ানো পারিতার ক্যাচ না ফেললে ম্যাচটা হয়তো আরো জমিয়ে তুলতে পারতো মোহামেডান। ভাঙ্গাচোরা আবাহনীকে সামনে পেয়েও জিততে না পারার পেছনে তাদের অন্যতম ভিলেন হয়েই তাই থাকতে হচ্ছে রকিবুলকে! কোনো রান না করা রকিবুল যে ক্যাচও ফেলেছেন!

Doesnt matter who comes who goes,, Abahoni and Mohammedans are always going to be the teams that pulls the crowd. Be it Bleague be it Dhaka Premier Cricket,, its something magical about these teams... Shonargaon, Gazi, Old DOHS or MutkiJodhya, Brothers, Sheikh Rassel,, doesnt matter.. At the end, you will hear the celebration when the blues or black-white wins. No other teams in the history of Bangladesh sports have such dynamics where supporters will kill each other than Abahoni and Mohammedans..
