Default Topless, cycling sisters to file complaint with watchdog after police stop

"When men take off their tops in public, it's clearly because it's a hot day and clearly it's for their comfort. Women should be given the same freedom."

Three Kitchener, Ont., sisters are planning to file a formal complaint after they say they were stopped by a police officer for cycling topless.

Tameera, Nadia and Alysha Mohamed took off their shirts while riding their bikes in downtown Kitchener on Friday evening because of the heat. They say they received mostly positive reaction, until a police officer stopped them on Shanley Street.

Tameera Mohamed and her sisters say they were stopped by a Waterloo Regional police officer for cycling downtown while topless. (Submitted by: Tameera Mohamed)

"He said, 'Ladies, you need to put on some shirts,'" said Tameera Mohamed. "We said, 'No we don't ... it's our legal right in Ontario to be topless as women.'"

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I speak from a perspective of decorum. Of course they have every right as human beings to dress(or undress) as any other human being of the opposing gender. But in the present social milieu it (bicycling topless in a public park that has not been designated as "nudist" friendly) is still unusual enough to spark a commotion. But hey I'm just a dude. I'd love for our female members to comment.

I'm sure they received a positive look from the people. I'm sure the police was also positive, they just used their authority to have a closer look... even if they would be nude, people would give a more positive look and the police office probably would have taken them in his room (Office) to have a even closer look and spend some more time.... All positive man ...

**** industry is a billion dollar industry, many spend money to see what these girls were offering free, very few would miss that free look.

What a topic +ive

Personally, I share the same view Razab bhai.

BUT, as the two sisters' act is lawful in Ontario, the police shouldn't have bothered them, period. If you are a police, you should have known the law first. Interesting to see how some police are abusing their power and authorities ->

And, yes, I do too see our female members take on this ...

Taslima Nasreen, Mariam Namazie and a few other Atheist extremist Hacks are out there, promoting nudity in the name of freedom. They are opposed by almost 99% of the feminists all over the world. Even Mariam herself agrees that it's extremistic, but they get fund from pervert men I'm sure to promote this...

Anyway, I don't want to comment on Ontario law, it's their wish ..

No wonder why men getting increasingly put off by women in our world & turning gay (Lost Case of romanticism in women) Some things are better to not be displayed in public ...

Any way that was fun reading the post, if nothing else, but it brought a smile...

I have just one request - for the sake of the bi-cycle sisters please don't tell this to Bill, Cosby or Clinton!

The story is inconclusive and hence it is rather impossible to determine whether the women in question had indeed broken the law.

We request for detailed information, including the video footage of the incident with all possible angles to help us the understand exactly what happened.

Its seems like Mohamed sisters/brothers are "entering the lizards hole" in a rush -as our beloved Prophet prophecized.
