Finally watched 'The Conjuring'. Pretty good horror flick, I must say. May be I watched it late night that is why I liked it more. After a long time, I watched a good horror movie. It's based on a true story...OMG !!!!

Just watched Midnight's children and as I had not read the book, was pleasantly surprised to see the birth of Bangladesh depicted in a crucial part of the story.
I wonder who was the guy playing the Bangladeshi guy; loved the way he pronounced "shaesh"

3D is becoming an annoyance for me rather than a value added factor. Last time when i watched Pacific Rim in IMAX 3D i could not understand anything during the final battle sequence because of the dark glasses. Later when i watched it again in 2D it was crystal clear and much more engaging

Agreed. Star Trek, Man of Steel both felt like rip-offs in 3D. I dont see the value anymore. Watched Wolverine on oldschool 2D small theatre for $10 and it was by far the best movie of all the summer blockbusters. Now You See Me was another $10 movie, so it didn't hurt. Despicable Me 2 and The Great Gatsby are probably the only 3D movies that were good value. Oz the Great and Powerful had good visuals in 3D too. Got screwed watching Elysium in IMAX (non-3d) coz they wouldn't honour our discount card. The visuals in IMAX was great though, but it was a pretty mundane movie.

The only movie I'm waiting for now is The Hobbit in regular 28fps, maybe in 3D on a cheap Tuesday!

As for sh!t films like Pacific Rim, World War Z, White House Down, Olympus Has Fallen, Oblivion and Iron Man 3.... there's my trusty 50" plasma TV

Regret of the summer: watching The Internship at the theatre.

There is no comparison between Olympus has fallen and the other movies you mentioned. Olympus has fallen was pure torture. While I haven't yet seen White House Down, i can't imagine it to be as bad as that film. Pacific Rim, World War Z, Oblivion were great movies in my opinion. Iron Man 3 was meh..

Did you read WWZ? The book isn't exactly a work of literary genius, but as source material, it offered so much potential - I found the movie to be completely bland

The Reluctant Fundamentalist, really a worthy one to watch. Liked it very much. Touchy R-rated stuff & excellent music. Must see for SC immi-muslims in US. A good collectable DVD.

I'll be thankful if anyone can tell me which movie this is,
it's probably an american horror movie(short movie) , probably of early 90s or late 80s , I was a kid back then so don't remember much.
Here is what I remember :
- A guy returning home late night encounters a female monster who spares him his life in one condition that he doesn't tell anyone about her, he returns home to his wife & child and tells what happened, so after that his wife & child start converting to monsters and kill him.
?????
Another short one :

a black cat gets into people's mouth, gets inside their body, eats everything & comes out.
?????

My friends went to blockbuster movies in Jamuna Future Park and he was told that Star trek show was canceled due to technical issue, later he found out that there were no technical issue, its because there has to be atleast 10 customers for the show to go on, since there weren't they canceled the show

i dont know about cineplex's abroad but i think this type of things only happens in Bangladesh

That's sad indeed. It's a great movie to watch at the theater so I am surprised there weren't more than 10 people! What are all the movie goers watching then?
