From all accounts, I wasn't expecting anything but cliched storytelling on this one and I was not let down. The visual (in 3d) was AMAZING. Looking at the previews, it's obvious that it's a syfy movie so no surprise there either. Again, loved the visual aspect of it. Would watch it again. Why would anyone expect a "story" in a blockbuster movie? I'll line up for the sequel when they come out with one.

Going back to 3 idiots, it had plenty of old jokes and some ridiculous secenes, still, loved it.

I've learned sometime back not to expect too much from movies and it works wonders for me.

Glad they are cancelling that pansy series. Tobey Maguire ruined Spidermen for adults and men.

so, finally watched Jaago @ Basundhora Cineplex tonight. Pura poysha ushul. Good movie. Love the storyline and all the songs. Acting was decent too.

Watched "Khosla Ka Ghoshla" couple weeks back. May be an older movie but enjoyed it due to the storyline. I knew this was ot uncommon in BD but didn't know India had the same problem. It's about "buying plots/land" and having to deal with the "system", without giving too much away.

I just watched "House of the Devil" ... made in classic 70's-80's horror movie style (the setting of the movie is 1984). It was rather good in the sense that it just kept building suspense gradually with very few "shock" moments for the first 1 hour... but then suddenly all hell breaks loose and the movie ends rather quickly. On the downside, the plot turned out to be way too unoriginal at the end.

However, spotted something rather bizarre at the end of the movie (considering the movie is a pretty serious suspense/horror flick)...

watched that movie last night after reading your post. Its a great movie to enjoy over dinner (or after) without all those bollywood bling blings and item songs and just a simple practical storyline....

Tehsin bhai, please post the names of some more hindi movies like these if you know, that actually has a rational storyline and reflects our subcontinental lifestyle (so tired of just HEARING about hindi movies being shot in universal studio & brazil and underwater and what not)

ialbd, i'll try to think of some. They may not be a true to life as you're expecting but will have enough to make you enjoy them over dinner.

Also, feel free to ask me about movies that fall in the "wait-a-month-and-watch-the-DVDrip-at-home" movie... I am pretty good at predicting those based on the preview. Having watched years of crappy movies does have its benefits.
