Nothing on My Name is Khan up yet on BC so let me present the honors. My Name is Khan is the most influential film I have ever seen in my short life. Shah Rukh Khan has showcased in my opinion, his greatest piece of acting he has ever done (and his acting career has quite a few extraordinary pieces.) You will never be more proud of being a Muslim or proud of Shah Rukh Khan as a Muslim in this movie. The way he acted his autism in this movie was too phenomenal and I really don't understand how something like this can possibly be acted out by some a normal human being. Put your hands together for Mr. Johar as this was under his directing. Round of applause for this movie. I don't think I will ever come across an acting performance like this in my life ever again.
P.S. My name is Reza and I'm not a terrorist. (Watch the movie and then you'll understand this.)

someone was asking for good bolly movies. not that I've watched many of those. if you like down to earth topics with good gritty acting try company and gulaal.

It was pretty good but way too long. It started our really strong but struggled to maintain consistency throughout the film. Too many unnecessary side-stories. The whole Mama Jenny thing was pointless. SRK's performance was good but many times he overdid it. Kajol didn't really impress me. The scene where they break up could have been much more powerful but she ruined it. But overall yup it was worth it. The last two Bollywood films I have watched, MNIK and 3 Idiots have both been worthwile and I hope this trend of superstars like SRK and Aamir making films on serious issues continues.
And My Name is also Khan and I am not a terrorist

I recently watched Capitalim, a love story by Michael Moore. I would recommend it to all the members here.

I can't wait for this!! I used to watch the cartoon and loved it. To be honest, when I heard all the type about the other Avatar, I thought it was about this and couldn't really understand it. Then I learnt it was about blue people or something. Still haven't seen it.
Watched The Wolfman the other night. Some of the dialogue was cringeworthy, did they do this on purpose to get a late 19th century feel? The blood and guts and ripping apart of bodies were good, and the setting and cinematography were amazing. Anthony Hopkins was great as usual and I always like Benecio Del Toro. I love Emily Blunt too. I would recommend this on the big screen, but don't expect a complicated story (though they could have taken it somewhere).

Agree with your comments.
I also liked it and it is worth watching it. Shahrukh was good in the movie and story is also good. But somewhere down the line I also have a feeling that it could have been much much better and could be presented much powerfully. Overall, a good film.

I watched Seven Pounds (Will Smith) last night. It was easily was one of the most painfully moving films I have seen. The pacing is a bit slow but if you remain patient, the emotional payoff in the end is quite worth it.

If there is one movie I can never ever get tired of, its Blood Diamond.

He sure does. 'Cuz heavens forbid we don't want a 27-year old virgin like him to end up playing with some phallic joystick all day every day, right?
