Everything seems so meaningless all of a sudden. All the trash talk and hype.

May be there is a lesson to learn from this for all of us. CTG must look in to the infra structure of BD. The inter city roads are just horrible death traps for motorist and others.

Come to think of it, now I see the upside of selecting JO in the 15 instead of Forhad. As a senior player he may be able to calm down the younger players a little.

I thought Rajin as a 12th man should have been a better choice cause he can field better and anyone in our team. What would Taposh bring to the table? Are the affraid of mash or rasel getting injured?

this is praully the most anticipated match of bangladesh ever... atleast from my view... i never waited soo badly for a game like this.... hope this HIGH expectation doesnt become a burden for our player... plus they were saying in channel i... that even the non-indian trindanian people are supporting bd... and i hear the match is sold out according to new age sports page... soo c'mon tigers... dont let us down.. create another magical night like the one you guys did in 28th december 2004 when Manjural Rana was present... c'mon guys... play it for him... and may ALLAH grant Rana heaven... CHOLO BANGLADESH!!!!! =D

we really need to put a strong strong fight tomorrow, I have seen how players make silly mistakes in this world cup so far and going back to the dressing room, not because of some great bowling but because who know what they were thinking when they played the shot.

AB de Villiers today got out first ball of a delivery way outside the stumps only to give a catch. Our batsmen need to make sure they do not do these types of mistakes that will easily cause us to lose the match.

Our batsmen have to make big runs otherwise we are doomed.

Agreed. This also means Shahadat hasn't regained his form in practices. I see tight bowling suffocating India tomorrow. With Rasel giving up few runs, Indians have to play Mashrafee aggressively. Fasten your seat belts.

As much as i hope that I am not banned but i have respect for the rules here and i to a certain extent deserve to be punished for the racist remark. At the same time I personally resent the big brother attitude of all p'tanis and Indians alike. The simple fact is that no matter how much I want to forget and forgive one cannot clearly want us to forget abt wat u people as a nation did to us during 71 ( and i am almost over sure that u don even know the history properly). At the same time i also recognise the fact that one person cannot be blamed for someone elses deeds.

Neways if i am banned than i am banned but i am not going to apologise. Finally hope u guys perform well in the WC.

Sorry to miraz bhai as he had to apologise on my behalf.

HereWeGo, please don't drag these thing into a match thread. If you want to debate someone's 'big brother' attitude go do it where it started or settle it over PM.

For once, hyperbole like "this is the most important match in the history of Bangladesh cricket so far" is indeed correct.

First, clear blue water has emerged between us and the less established nations.

Second, the test match against Australia and the one day series against Sri Lanka in 2006 showed we are getting closer to the Big 8.

Finally, India's more or less pronounced reluctance to play Bangladesh [ as if we are not good enough for them ] is irksome to any Bangladeshi. Whilst we would savour victory against any of the Top 8, against India in this context would be very sweet indeed.

This is not the time to criticise the squad selection. But clearly the strongest 11 appears to have been selected from the 15. I am particularly happy that it looks like Rasel has finally been selected. Tapash would be too expensive.

I just hope young Mushfiq does not miss a stumping or two under pressure !!

The odds are running at Bangladesh 7/1 , India 1/7. Far cry from the 33/1 days.

God Speed Bangladesh !!

well said..... i think the team is good enough.... i believe though tapash shouldnt be played... he should be kept out of the playing 11... yes though someone else in an earlier post had said that rajin would have been a better option for number 12... i kinda agree on that too... if someone has to go of the field... i would definately want rajin to field ... he is a good fielder... but then again... its the playing 11 who has to get the match out for us... and i believe this is the best 11...

I have one concern regarding the load on server . We are going to hit around 500 tomorrow. New server was running like crazy horse in BD vs NZ match until its hit around 350 after that it become slower. But we are way better than last server. I would like to see a donate button in BC. Lots of members would be very happy to donate i guess and just add a little effort with your hardwork.

Very disappointed not to see Shahadat in the team. We desperately need some fast bowling firepower to trouble the Indian batsmen. Playing with 3 spinners is a safety first approach which could boomerang on us. Alas!

Anywaz...GOOD LUCK TIGERS!
