//Big Phill
Unfortunately for Big Phil, he had already stirred up public opinion with an astonishing attack on Pele.
During a skiing holiday in the Chilean Andes, Scolari claimed that... //here is the quote
Quote:
|
"Pele knows nothing about football" and added: "If you want to win a title, you have to listen to what Pele says and then do the opposite."

Bindra - Asif's indian rival
Bindra, who had led the qualifying round, said he was shattered by the outcome of the event.
"I was very disappointed. I thought I could have won it but that's just the way it goes," said the Indian.
"It was not that nerve-wrecking. I wanted to fight hard. I tried to do it but it just didn't go my way.

It was a little surprising to see Bangladesh win. However, he had a good final - let's see where he is in four year's time.

Thanks for sharing those quotes. The first one is very disturbing. So called muslim will even support Israel against India.

//Discussion on the level of Bengali language of the English Medium Students.
"English Medium Students in trouble"
It is absolutely correct that English Medium students have very poor knowledge of their mother tongue. I am a teacher in one of the English Medium schools. I have just joined and was stunned to find out the students' poor knowledge in Bengali.
Last week I took a test in my class (standard IV) where the students were to write the word meaning of some Bengali words (in English).
Quote:

I was astonished when none of them got full marks (I have 35 students in my class) and one student wrote the English meaning of pathshala (school) as jute-brother-in-law [pat (jute) shala (brother-in-law)]
